2001

2004/2005

ICR acquires a 30,000sm plant in Lodi, which is active in the exclusive production of paints.

ICR enters the colour world, taking over Brenen Italiana, whose headquarters are in Perugia and holds an historical brand of liquid industrial paints.

ICR entered the composites sector. The major Italian shipyards started certifying ICR products.

LPM/LPMO/LPME MORDANT RUBBING COMPOUND FOR GELCOAT

52 SPRINT COMPOSITES | TECHNICAL CATALOGUE

Recommended usesLPM is a compound formulated for compounding gelcoat panels. Due to its mordanting characteristics, LPM compound can be used for:- polishing handiworks- polishing moulds and plugs

Polishing process- make sure that the gelcoat is cold before polishing- remove impurities such as dirt or grease from the gelcoat with a cloth soaked in soap and water- place a small quantity of paste on a wool or foam polishing pad- spread the paste evenly over the surface, with the polisher still off- switch on the polisher and adjust the speed to between 800 and 1,500 rpm- start polishing by exercising a light pressure, then progressively reduce it until the paste begins to dry- make several crossed runs in order to remove all the scratches. Do not polish in the same area for very long or the surface will become overheated

This process will achieve a fi nish high level of gloss whichcan be improved if required by a successive treatment withpolishing compound.
