24 January 2012 Dear Sir/Madam: Greetings from the U. P. Medical Students Society! We proudly bring you news of the 39th INTERSCHOLASTIC CLINICOPATHOLOGIC CONFERENCE (ICPC) sponsored by the UP Medical Students Society (UPMSS) in cooperation with the Department of Pathology of the UP College of Medicine. For almost four decades, the ICPC has provided an avenue for some of the best minds in the country to formally exchange ideas, display their diagnostic talents and experience the atmosphere of a formal scientific gathering. Moreover, the ICPC has served as an excellent opportunity to uphold the honor of the school represented by each team of medical students of the country, as they take home the coveted title of ICPC champion. We would like to formally invite your school to join this year’s ICPC, which will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, 8:00 A.M. at the Basic Sciences Lecture Room-East (BSLR-East) of the UP College of Medicine, Pedro Gil Street, Ermita, Manila. Please note that participants are advised to arrive at the venue by 7:00 a.m. Enclosed are copies of the following: (1) Clinical Protocol of this year’s pathologic case (2) Contest Rules and Guidelines, and (3) Official Entry Form. Please confirm your intent of participation by returning the Official Entry form in PDF format on or before Friday, February 25, 2012 through e-mail at [email protected]. Please also send photographs of (1) every member of your team, (2) the team, with and without their adviser, and (3) the adviser to the aforementioned address. We would also like to inform you that the number of participating schools to this year’s ICPC will be limited to eight (8) schools. Five (5) slots will be allotted for medical schools from Luzon, while three (3) slots will be allotted for medical schools from Visayas-Mindanao. The slots will be given on a first come, first served basis; consideration will be awarded to schools who submit their completed requirements early. In the spirit of objectivity and fairness, this letter and all the requirements enclosed herein, was released on the same date to all the schools concerned.
