    ICM will help you achieve your education goals through personalized supportand the opportunity to study at one of Canadas premier universities. You

    The information contained in this guide is to help you get started on your journey to Canada, to ICM and the University of Manitoba. There is anabundance of help and resources available to our students and our dedicatedstaff are here to help you be successful.

    Identification (e.g. drivers licence )

    Medical records and immunization records

    Credit card(s) and pocket money (approx. $200 CDN cash)

    International prepaid phone card Name, address, telephone number of where you will spend your first night in

    Canada

    Buy you jackets and boots in Winnipeg they arecheaper here!

    What happens when you arrive in Winnipeg?

    Health Insurance

    Canadian law requires all students to have health insurance

    Family members accompanying students need to purchase health insurance for theduration of their stay

    ICM students have basic health insurance as part of their fees and are covered for12 months. After 12 months, students have the option to extend this coverage orapply for the Manitoba Health Plan

    Covered: visits to doctors, hospital stays and diagnostic medical testing

    Not Covered: dental and prescriptions

    Extended health insurance can be purchase through private insurance carriers

    Orientation is mandatory for new students

    Students can register for courses online beginningAugust 22 nd

    In order to access the Student Portal , you must

    have: 1. an unconditional offer and;2. submitted a copy of your visa

    Username = ICM student ID number

    Password = DOB YYYY/MM/DD

    For those students needing to take the Math Placement Test practice questionscan be found on Portal

    Math Placement Test will be held on August 28 th at 1 PM
