Samanvay Half Rural Marathon

• Samanvay Rural Half Marathon – Run for a Social Cause, is goodwill initiative by iCFDR to promote rural sportsmanship and gender equality.

• The location of marathon is interiors of Badaun district, now infamous for regular inhuman violence including sexual crimes and robberies. Otherwise too district is one of the least developed in India.

• Marathon would be of international length and standard.

• Date of Marathon: 3rd Sunday of February: 22 Feb-2015

• Categories and Timing: Samanvay Rural Half Marathon Elite Runners: 8:00 am, Samanvay Rural Half Marathon Runners: 8:10 am, Senior’s & Junior’s event: 8: 20 am, Champions with Disability event: 8:30 am

SAMANVAY RURAL HALF MARATHON: ROUTE

Starts at Gangola, Champions with Disability event ends before Baba

Brahmdev, Seniors and Juniors Event ends before Village Gillore via Daharpur Kalan, Budaun Goodwill

Run ends after Sainjani. Half Marathon proceeds via village

Baxena, Hasimpur, Andaru touching Para towards finish line.

EVENT & FACILITIES: • Our focus is to have Half Marathon maintaining best standards on

22nd February 2015. All participants need to arrive by 7:45 am.

• Registration fees: Rural Rs. 100, Nearby Cities 200. On-line

Registration starts from Rs 200 to Rs. 500 (category wise).

• Registration Starts: 15 October, 2014, Ends: 15th January, 2015,

Registration for elite and celebrity runners till Jan end: 30 January, 2015.

• Samanvay half marathon starts at 8:00 am and whole event shall end

by afternoon with ceremony.

• To manage the event we would have team of around 100 volunteers,

• 6 public address system at major points, few ambulances, portable

toilets.

• 20 water distribution kiosks on route with refreshment and first aid kits

• 4ft by 3 ft branding flexes on both the sides of route.
