‘Case;it’ which offers a platform to

industry professionals to develop

cases based on their experience.

IBS Hyderabad hosted the ‘Faculty Practice School’

and a workshop in the IT area. The Faculty has a

lot to share this month on guest lectures and

workshops. FST organized a Faculty Development

Program (FDP), workshops, and preparatory

sessions for the students. Faculty members

published articles in reputed journals. FOL shares

the academic achievements of its faculty.

Dr. Sivaram G Yanamandra joined IBSHyderabad as Associate Professor in the

Department of Finance. He has 37 years ofprofessional experience as Lecturer at BabuJagjeevan Ram College, Hyderabad, ProbationaryOfficer at Indian Bank and as Faculty & Dean atIBS Pune. His research interests are inMicrofinance and Management of financialinstitutions. He teaches Wealth Managementand Bank Management. He is an MA(Economics) and M.Phil(Economics) from Osmania University and Ph.D in Banking fromBanaras Hindu University. Besides, he has completed CAIIB and ICWAI(Inter). He has published several cases and articles at national andinternational conferences.

Dr. Venkateswara Rao Korasiga Joined IBSHyderabad as Associate Professor in the

Department of IT and Operations. He teachessupply chain management to MBA students. Hehas 33 years of experience in Industry andAcademics (21 years of corporate experience and12 years teaching experience). He was associatedwith ICFAI Business School from 2001 to 2010 and with University ofPetroleum and Energy Studies for 2 years from 2010 to 2012.

He is an M.Sc (Chem) from Andhra University, MBA from JNTU,Hyderabad and Ph.D from Ambedkar open University. He has written8 papers in refereed Journals and is guiding 2 Ph.D students.

MBA Preparatory ClassesThe Preparatory Classes for MBA, the Class of 2015, were conductedbetween June 3 and June 15 2013. The students were introduced tobasic concepts in Management.

MBA & BBA Programs CommenceThe regular classes for MBA, Class of 2015 were started from June 18,2013 and the classes for BBA, Class of 2016 commenced from June 25,2013.

FST organized a 30 days Soft Skills Workshop for the studentsof 3rd year from May 28, 2013 to June 27, 2013. The students

were trained in various topics like Self Awareness, Perception,Effective Presentation Skills, Group Discussion and InterviewTechniques. The workshop were conducted by Prof. Gitanjali andDr. Bhavana Jaiswal from IBS Hyderabad.

Dr. Manas Ranjan Tripathy conducted a session on ‘Emerging Trendsin HRM’ for AGMs/DGMs of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)

at MTI (Managing Training Institute) SAIL, Ranchi, on June 3, 2013.

The workshop was conducted on June 27 & 28, 2013. It focused onmultivariate techniques (particularly Multiple Regression, Fac-

tor analysis, and Discriminant analysis) that a researcher should befamiliar with to start the journey of research. Hands-on sessionsusing valid data sets for each topic formed part of the workshop.

Multivariate Techniques:Basics & Applications using SPSS

Participants were introduced to SPSS software for the data analysisduring lab sessions.
