For All IBR Lines (under IBR code, clause 360)
Class I piping
Where the completed pipelines are not tested by the application of hydraulic pressure, the welds shall be subjected to the following inspection procedure:
1CYJ255529174-38, 54,55,56(open to trench)57,58,59,60(open to trench),61,73,74,75
Ø125,Ø150,ø250 –Butt Weld-100%RT or other approved methods (5 welds of each welder subject to RT, if found satisfactory, Chief Inspector may give waiver)Ø100, ø80,ø65,ø50,ø40-Butt weld – 5%RT or other approved methods (min 2 welds/welder)Ø25-Butt weld – 2% of total welds cutout for visual inspection & Bend Test
Important Note: for any size socket weld – specific NDT not mentioned
Class I piping
