National Knowledge 360

American Indian history and culture is a vital partof the American narrative, and is everyone’s history.

Native Knowledge 360 uses the Smithsonian and NMAI brand, education resources, and training efforts, along with strategic partnerships, to correct what is taught about Native peoples in America’s schools.

Tribal leaders, cultural figures, and other interesting and accomplished Native individuals introduce themselves and say a little about their lives and work. Together their responses illustrate the diversity of the indigenous communities of the Western Hemisphere, as well as their shared concerns, and offer insights beyond what’s in the news to the ideas and experiences of Native people today. —Dennis Zotigh
