IBM Sametime Unified Telephony Lite Client 8.5.2 Task Reference IBM ® Sametime ® Unified Telephony Lite Client lets you make, receive, and manage audio calls directly from your Sametime contacts. Table 1. Sametime Unified Telephony Lite Client tasks How do I... Action Call someone on my Sametime contacts list? Click the name of a person you want to call. The person does not need to be logged in to Sametime for you to make a call from your computer. Click the Call icon in the toolbar. Call someone who is not on my Sametime contact list? In the Find a person or number field at the top of the Sametime contact list, type the entire telephone number or the SIP URI of the person or device you want to call. Click Call when your entry shows. Make a video call? If you see the preferred device option, such as , above your list of Sametime contacts, select Sametime Computer Phone. In the Find a person or number field at the top of the Sametime contact list, type the entire telephone number or the SIP URI of the video conferencing device you want to call. Select the number when it displays. In the open call window, click Video > Start Video. Call someone from my phonebook? Click the Call Options icon in the toolbar, and then click Sametime Phonebook.
