How do I... Action

Find my Sametime Unified Telephone number? Do one of the following actions, depending on the clientyou are using:

v If you are using IBM Sametime Connect, click File >Preferences and then click Voice and Video.

v If you are using IBM Lotus Notes®, click File >Preferences and then click the plus sign (+) besideSametime in the navigator. Click Voice and Video.

Or, Click the Call Options icon in the toolbar atthe top of the Sametime contact list and then clickSametime Phonebook.

Find out what my preferred device or telephone numberis?

The preferred device option, such as thisin the toolbar at the top of your Sametime contact listshows your currently-selected preferred device ortelephone to use for calls.

Create a list of devices and telephone numbers to use forcalls?

Do one of the following actions, depending on the clientyou are using:

v If you are using IBM Sametime Connect, click File >Preferences and then click Voice and Video.

v If you are using IBM Lotus Notes, click File >Preferences and then click the plus sign (+) besideSametime in the navigator. Click Voice and Video.

Then click Preferred Numbers.

Select the device or phone number to I want to use forcalls?

Click the preferred device icon, such as ,in the toolbar at the top of your Sametime contact listand select the device or telephone number you want touse for calls.

Call someone on my Sametime contact list? Click an online name on your contact list and then click

the Call icon .

Call someone who is not on my Sametime contact list orin my organization?

In the Type a name or phone number field at the top ofthe Sametime contact list, do one of the followingactions:.

v Enter the entire telephone number of the person youwant to call and select it.

v If you have previously called the telephone number,start entering the number and select it when you seeit.

Include video with my call? Select Sametime Computer Phone for your preferred

device at the top of your contact list,

click an online contact and then click the Call iconto start a call. In the open call window, click Video >Start Video.

Invite someone to an existing call? In an open Call window, click Actions > Invite Others.

Route calls to other devices and telephone numbers? Do one of the following actions, depending on the clientyou are using:

v If you are using IBM Sametime Connect, click File >Preferences and then click Voice and Video.

v If you are using IBM Lotus Notes, click File >Preferences and then click the plus sign (+) besideSametime in the navigator. Click Voice and Video.

Then click Routing Calls.

Adjust incoming call notifications? Do one of the following actions, depending on the clientyou are using:

v If you are using IBM Sametime Connect, click File >Preferences and then click Voice and Video.

v If you are using IBM Lotus Notes, click File >Preferences and then click the plus sign (+) besideSametime in the navigator. Click Voice and Video.

Then click Call Notifications.

Turn off call notifications when my availability status isDo Not Disturb?
