What is PowerNet?PowerNet is a mature and established IBM partner programme, designed to generate solution sales into new customers.

The programme works by creating selling networks or coalitions. A PowerNet Contract Holder teams with one (or more) IBM Resellers, Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and, where applicable, a Systems Integrator to deliver the solution to the customer. IBM works closely to advise and support the coalition.

The PowerNet programme is comprised of the following three key areas:

Recruitment: • New ISVs are continually recruited into PowerNet to establish solution-led teamsCo-marketing: • Co-marketing funding may be available for registered coalitions to execute marketing tactics to drive business. 93 marketing tactics were completed in 2009 Solution Selling: • Solutions are made up of the ISV application and a mix of IBM brands, including:

-IBM Power i, Power p, System x – ® and Retail Store Solutions (RSS)IBM Software Group (SWG) Internet Security –Systems (ISS)IBM Global Technology Services (GTS) –IBM Maintenance and Technical Support (MTS). –

How can I join PowerNet?If you’re an IBM Reseller:Contact the PowerNet and Ecosystem team to sign up via a PowerNet contract holder.

The contract holder will be able to link with IBM to help identify suitable ISVs for your team to work with.

If you’re an ISV:Contact the PowerNet and Ecosystems Recruitment Manager, who will be able to match you to potential IBM resellers and a contract holder.

PowerNet Contract Holders will be able to:Provide marketing assistance•

Manage the relationship with IBM•

Oversee the PowerNet business process•

Handle the overall contract with IBM.•
