Da dieses neue System oder die Partition ausgewählt wurde, sind alle Daten, die zur Systems Director Navigator-Bedieneroberflächezurückgegeben werden, für dieses neue System oder diese Partition bestimmt. Systems Director Navigator for i, V6.1 kann als Zielsystem IBM i 5.4, 6.1 oder 7.1 verwalten. Mit der Set Target System-Funktion läuft der Systems Director Navigator-Managementserver an einer Stelle. Ein Browser kannverwendet werden, um mehrere Umgebungen zu verwalten und das Management wird auf IBM i 5.4-Umgebungen erstreckt.

5250 Emulation Portlet

– Systems Director Navigator for i enthält jetzt ein 5250 Emulation Portlet. Benutzer können ein 5250-Fenster aus der Systems Director Navigator-Bedieneroberfläche aufrufen und somit eine einheitlicheOberfläche für die Verwaltung von IBM i Systemen benutzen.

Notes on performance estimates

rPerf for AIX

rPerf (Relative Performance) is an es timate of commerc ial process ing performance relative to other IBM UNIX sys tems. It is derived from an IBM analy tical model which uses charac teris tics from IBM internal work loads , TPC and SPEC benchmarks . The rPerf model is not intended to represent any spec ific public benchmark results and should not be reasonably used in that way . The model s imulates some of the sys tem operations such as CPU, cache and memory . However, the model does not s imulate disk or network I/O operations .

� rPerf es timates are calculated based on sys tems with the lates t levels of AIX and other pertinent software at the time of sys temannouncement. Ac tual performance will vary based on application and configuration spec ifics . The IBM eServer pSeries 640 is the baseline reference sys tem and has a value of 1.0. Although rPerf may be used to approx imate relative IBM UNIX commerc ial process ing performance, ac tual sys tem performance may vary and is dependentupon many fac tors inc luding sys tem hardware configuration and software des ign and configuration. Note that the rPerf methodology used for the POWER6 sys tems is identical to that used for the POWER5 sys tems. Variations in inc remental sys tem performance may be observed in commerc ial work loads due to changes in the underly ing sys tem architec ture.
