Lake Tahoe is approximately 45 miles from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport.

Airport Shuttle Service:

South Tahoe Express offers shuttle service from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport to the South Lake Tahoe hotels with 11 departures daily. This worry-free transportation is also low cost: only $27.50 per person each way or $49.00 per person round trip (plus fuel surcharge of $2.00 for one-way and $3.50 for round trip). To purchase tickets, call South Tahoe Express at 866/89-TAHOE or visit their web site at www.southtahoeexpress.com.

Airport Limo Service:

Sierra West Limousine offers sedan to SUV limo service from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport to the South Shore hotels. Prices range from $162-267 depending on the limo size (pricing includes fuel surcharge). For reservations call 877/347-4789.

Where to Stay

Accommodations and meetings are again at Harrah’s. Harrah’s is in beautiful South Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and is two blocks from the gondola at the Heavenly Ski Resort. Each standard guest room is deluxe-sized with over 500 square feet of space that includes a king or two double beds, plus two complete bathrooms. Harrah’s web site is www.harrahstahoe.com.

IBAT Winter Summit attendees have a special room rate at Harrah’s. Single or double occupancy is $99 per night, Sunday-Thursday, and $169 per night Friday-Saturday. Reservations will be guaranteed with a deposit of the first night’s room and tax. Specific room requests are not guaranteed, however, every effort will be made to facilitate each request. The hotel’s cancellation policy is 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a charge of first night’s room and tax. Skiing at Heavenly

Heavenly (www.skiheavenly.com) is a mountain sprawling over 4,800 acres with nine mountain peaks. The skiable area ranges from 6,540 to 10,067 feet. The mountain has 30 lifts, 15 in California and 15 in Nevada, with 91 exhilarating runs. Skiing and snow-boarding are allowed on the mountain. Heavenly offers lessons, clinics, and rental equipment. Heavenly has a gondola lift which is two blocks from Harrah’s.

If at least 20 people are interested in purchasing lift tickets for Heavenly, IBAT will qualify for a group discount. If you are interested in purchasing a lift ticket, please complete the informa-tion on the registration form and return to IBAT by January 7, 2011. The order for the lift tickets will be placed the following week. At this time, the 2010–2011 lift ticket prices have not been published.

Activities in Lake Tahoe

If you are not a skier, there are still plenty of activities in Lake Tahoe. Other outdoor activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, and dog sledding.

If you are not afraid of heights, you can ride the Heavenly gondola up 2.4 miles to an observation deck and get spectacular views of the mountains and lake.

Registration IBAT and Leadership Division member registration fees include all education sessions and handout materials, opening reception and dinner on Sunday, breakfast on Monday and Tuesday, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments during the Monday and Tuesday afternoon sessions, and reception and dinner on Monday night.

Spouse/guest fee includes only the opening reception and dinner on Sunday and dinner on Monday night.

Cancellation Policy: Registration cancellations received on or before January 4, 2013 will be refunded in full. Cancellations received January 5-13 will be refunded less a $75 administration fee. Any cancellations received after January 13 will not be refunded. Substitutions are allowed and encouraged.
