Flute/Piccolo, Oboe, English Horn, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Contrabassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Timpani, and Strings

String Audition Excerpts

1. All students will record scales, 3-5 minutes of a Group I ISSMA Solo (please use www.issma.net to access the Group I repertoire list) and excerpts from the Wagner. Because the Hanson is rental and available only 8 weeks prior to our concert date, excerpts will come from Wagner only.

2. Parts will be accessible from the Indiana ASTA website: http://indianaasta.org/all-state-

orchestra/

3. Please record your scales and solo on the first recording file submission, and all excerpts on the second recording file submission. Play each excerpt through the end of the final measure number listed except for measure 79 (only the first note is needed). PLEASE DO NOT SPEAK AT ANY POINT ON THE RECORDING! Audition recordings are to remain anonymous.
