“ I AM 7. YOU ARE 7. WE ARE 7!”

is a chant that you have heard me say

at community events across the 7th Ward. Its

purpose it is to unify every resident in the

Ward, no matter your block or community

area. This past summer, I kicked off a series

of hours on residential and commercial blocks

and parks within the 7th Ward. I was honored

by the number of residents who stopped by to

talk with me and my staff. Each of them

acknowledged that our presence impacted

areas that are known for undesirable activity.

My goal is to continue the momentum of this

summer by hosting many great events and

programs for the fall and winter seasons, to round out 2014.

I implore everyone to remain engaged with the 7th Ward Public Service Office so

you won’t miss out on what we have in store for the remainder of the year. You

can connect in a number of ways, including calling my office at 773.731.7777 or

going the social media route by posting on my Facebook wall or tweeting to

@Ald7Holmes. We are readily accessible and always willing to assist.

Let’s hear it, magnificent 7th Warders: I AM 7. YOU ARE 7. WE ARE 7!
