Information Assurance Collaboration Group
The Information Assurance Collaboration Group (IACG) was formed following the National IA conference in 2006 (‘IA06’) to encourage greater collaboration between the commercial supply base for IA products and services
operating within the UK public sector and the Wider Information Assurance Centre (WIAC)
including specifically CESG and also including BIS, OCSIA, ICO & CPNI.

IACG Purpose
The IACG exists to meet the Member Objectives:
Gain insight into Government IA marketDefine IA as a market segment that delivers value to shareholders and customers Influence UK IA market and align to overseas IA markets Realise a position whereby the UK IA market recognised as world leading thereby delivering competitive advantage for the UK supply base
The Member Objectives are supported by the following sub-objectives:
Influence CESG to remove barriers to delivery of IA solutions Achieve market conditions that encourage industry to innovate Influence Government buying mechanisms for IA to encourage competitive market development Explain common industry issues and concerns to CESG Facilitate communication across industry constituencies

IACG Principles
IACG does not engage in commercial activities. IACG will not undertake activity that may be construed as anti
competitive. IACG cannot make any binding commitment on Members. IACG will respect that Members offer resources & information on a
voluntary basis. IACG will respect that Members reserve the right to express
opinions contrary to IACG Position. IACG meetings may operate under the ‘Chatham House rule’. IACG will seek to cooperate with other relevant industry groups to
avoid duplication and competition e.g. Intellect, CDF, UK CeB, IAAC, BCS, CREST etc to coordinate the respective
programmes of work, each being led by the group best placed to do so, whilst acknowledging a college of interested stakeholders to be consulted for input.

IACG Membership
IACG membership is open to any company or organisation that: Agrees to proactively support the Member Objectives. Agrees to abide by the IACG Terms of Reference. Can show a track record or a capability relevant to the IACG Member objectives. Organisations seeking to join IACG shall provide a statement to show that they meet the above requirements in advance of an IACG General Meeting, whereupon a Decision shall be made regarding that membership application.
