What Is The Global Competitiveness Report? The World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report (GCR) (www.weforum.org /gcr ) is widely recognized as the world’s leading cross-country comparison of factors affecting economic competitiveness and growth. First released in 1979, the Report provides the most comprehensive assessment of competitiveness of over 140 economies.

What Is the Executive Opinion Survey? The Executive Opinion Survey is a major component of The Global Competitiveness Report and provides the key ingredient that turns the Report into a representative annual measure of a nation’s economic environment and its ability to achieve sustained growth. The Survey gathers valuable information on a broad range of variables for which hard data sources are scarce or non-existent. The results of the Executive Opinion Survey are also a key ingredient for our other report series, such as The Global Information Technology Report, The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report, The Global Enabling Trade Report, The Financial Development Report and The Global Gender Gap Report.
