Fashion buyer

Fashion buyers, also called retail buyers, purchasing managers or purchasing agents, select and order the apparel that is sold in retail stores. A fashion buyer maximizes a company's profits by making sure that the products on store shelves appeal to consumers. You could be responsible for finding the clothes and accessories that project a store's desired image to consumers. You could also communicate with suppliers and store managers to make sure the purchasing process goes smoothly. According to the California Occupational Guide, a fashion buyer uses fashion knowledge and quantitative skills to select the right product mix and the right inventory level to maximize profit.

Fashion company

LVMH, is a French multinational luxury goods conglomerate, headquartered in Paris. The company was formed by the 1987 merger of fashion house Louis Vuitton with Moët Hennessy, a company formed after the 1971 merger between the champagne producer Moët & Chandon and Hennessy, the cognac manufacturer. It controls around 60 subsidiaries that each manage a small number of prestigious brands. The subsidiaries are often managed independently. ConclusionAs a market person, we need to understand the market, understand the market of consumers, with more professional knowledge to promote the development of products in the market. As a fashion buyer, we have to understand fashion, clear as a fashion buyer's responsibility.
