“Don’t te l l God how b ig you r mounta ins a re, te l l you r mounta ins how b ig you r God is!”

My name is Noah Brown, I just turned 13 and I’m super excited to get this chance to go to the USASA Snowboard Nationals. The competition starts on Sat., March 30 at Copper Mountain, CO...so we don’t have much time to prepare since Invites were only sent out a few days ago. I’ve been riding for 6 years and only been competing the last 2 years, and this by far has been my toughest season, but also a year of most improvement in my snowboarding. Much of this has to do with my focused determination to get better...the better I get, the more

fun I have! I also consistently ride 5+ days every week this season and get coached 5 of those days with MBSEF (Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation). It’s pretty cool to know that I’m the youngest rider to be able to do their full time Freeride Snowboard Competition

Team. I compete in the Enter the Dragon USASA series at Mt. Bachelor and Mt. Hood USASA series, as wellas some other events at Mt. Bachelor, and placed in most of the events...which has been awesome!

I’ve learned a lot this year, and not just in riding, but in attitude (how to win & lose), judging, and what it takes to go to the next level.SO HERE’s THE BIG ASK: I’m writing to give an update, but also because I need to raise $1,000 to $1,500 in order to get to Nationals next week. I was able to get my little brother Micah to help me make Survival Bracelets which are 10-12 feet of paracord that can be used in

case of an emergency, but they also look pretty cool as a bracelet (and I’m personally paying for the material). We’re planning on giving everyone a bracelet who Donates to the cause in helping me get to Nationals. If there’s leftover money, my parents will

apply it toward Summer Snowboard Camp and coaching. We’ll also thank you on Facebook and in a snowboard video on YouTube. (You can Google “Noah Brown Snowboarding” to see a few videos that I edited. One video has almost 10,000 views!)

My dad and I plan to leave on the 1,100 mile drive to Copper next Wed., March 28 and return April 3. We’re meeting up with many others from the Central OR ETD USASA Series, MBSEF as well as riders (& parents) from over 30 other states. As of this update, there were no more

affordable places in Copper, so we’re staying in Frisco, CO which is only 7 miles from the mountain.I walked away last year from Nationals saying to my parents: “I know I could’ve done

better, but now I know what I need to do next year to be in the top ten!”Thanks again for your consideration & support in helping me live out my dreams!
