The Kroeber AnthropologicaZ Society Papers publish arti-cles in the general field of anthropology. In addition toarticles of theoretical interest, the Papers will welcomedescriptive studies putting factual information on record,work of original theoretical bent as well as historicaldocuments of anthropological interest. The Society welcomesstudent research papers of high quality.

The Papers are published annually. Subscription is bymembership in the Kroeber Anthropological Society. Annualdues for student members are $12.00; for non-student members$15.00; and for institutional members $18.00. Send requestsfor membership to the Secretary of the Society at the addressbelow.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

(1) Paper excluding references should not exceeddouble-spaced pages.

(2) The original plus one copy of the manuscriptsubmitted.

(3) Tables and illustrations must be photo-readydrawings or glossy prints. All figures mustconsecutively and captioned.
