to in ¬ duce them to lease the grounds for the 1907 Kentucky State Fair pend ing the clearing of the title to the property and adjustment of other matters in connection with the puri chase of the track and buildings asj a permanent location the State Board of Agriculture KentucliYI given the use of Churchill Louisville for holding this SeptemIbel at historic Churchill Downs where I the fair last year was held Messrs Charles F Granger and Matt J Winn representing the Churchill Downs interests have now I groundsand vote of cordial thanks for their liber- ality ¬ in the matter inasmuch as the grounds are tendered to the State Fair upon terms agreeable to the State Fair management Churchill Downs while a typical I race course is considered to be the best equipped State Fair grounds in the South with the possible excep tion of Texas Fair Grounds There will be an abundance of stall room for all kinds of live stock there is a big grand stand and thero are many buildings suitable for the departments which must be shown indoors The entry list in the different ex ¬ hibit departments is the greatest in tine history of the Kentucky State Fair at this time three weeks prior to the exhibition The State Fair management is spending over 7000 in exploitation and expects record breaking attend ¬ ance daily Some of the greatest amusement enterprises In the coun ¬ try have been
