Why the commitment to FCV’s?

• Vehicle range:– Commercial FCV’s will have > 300 mile range

• Refill time:– Fast filling capability allows for 3 to 5 minute fills

• Hydrogen fuel enables renewable fuel pathways via electrolysis and reformed biogas

• The technology is proven, and the cost curves support consumer acceptance

• There is a commitment to buildout of hydrogen infrastructure in Europe, Japan, California, etc.

• ZEV MOU signed by 8 states provides a policy directive to put BEV’s and FCV’s on the road

SunHydro 2 Project: New H2 fueling capability in Washington, DC• Proton OnSite has developed a new compact “site ready”

station design, SunHydro 2.• In collaboration with DOE and NPS, this equipment design

will be demonstrated at the NPS site on Brentwood Ave.• The station will provide an important fueling capability for

FCV’s that will be used for outreach and market development efforts.

Proton Strategy for Fueling Market• Continue product development to reduce capital cost and

improve efficiency of electrolyzer systems

• Support efforts for renewable fuel credits and other favorable policy initiatives

• Coordinate station development efforts with vehicle OEM market introduction plans
