Fixed Flow PressureCompensatedControl Valve

FLOW CONTROL VA LVES maintain the flow rate ofhydraulic fluid to a specified value.

Applications include hydraulic cylinders required toextend or retract at constant speeds and hydraulicmotors required to rotate at constant speeds. Whenused with a fixed delivery pump the excess flow is by-passed across a relief valve.

Proportional Flow Dividers

P R O P O R T I O N A L FLOW DIVIDERS split a singleinput flow into two output flows, each output being afixed proportion of the input. For example, a 50/50 flo wdivider will always split a single input flow into twoequal output flows which could be used to operate twomotors at equal speeds. The actual rate of flow fromeach output is not fixed but will vary as the input flowrate varies.

CIRCUIT SUGGESTIONS

1 Variable Speed of Hydraulic MotorDrive on Agricultural Tractor

This circuit gives the capability to varythe speed of a hydraulic motor asrequired. Also, for a given control knobsetting, the hydraulic motor speed staysconstant regardless of the tractorspeed.

2 Two Circuits From a Single Pump

Using only one pump, this circuit givesspeed control of the hydraulic motorand powers a hydraulic cylinder. Eachfunction can be used eithersimultaneously or independentlybecause pressure variations betweenregulated and by-pass flows do noteffect the flow on the regulated circuit.

3 Multiple Circuits From a SinglePump

Using one pump, this circuit givesindependently variable speed drivefrom three hydraulic motors. Motorscan be used simultaneously orindependently.

A FLOW DIVIDER-COMBINER will divide a single flo winto two separate flows which will always be in thesame ratio to each other regardless of any pressured i fferential between the two lines. If the flow isreversed (e.g. return stroke of two cylinders) the returnflows are held in the same ratio to each other andcombined into a single flow, regardless of individualloads on the cylinders

A common application is to keep two cylinders (ormotors) in close unison when loads on them areunequal. The valves may also be used in series tooperate more than two circuits.
