Hybrid C-ITS Services
•The IF2 interface being used is as follows ‘InterCor_2.1b_IF2_specs-v1.0 final’.
•The Unified Interchange Node (UID) InterCor Broker can be reached at:

Hybrid C-ITS Services (2)
•The UIN InterCor IF2 AMQP broker is payload
agnostic.
•It is the responsibility of the C-ITS service to
publish the payloads in conformance to ETSI
message specifications.
17
•UIN InterCor IF2 AMQP connections over the public internet are only possible from white listed IP addresses.
•IP address whitelisting can be requested by submitting a request to: email: [email protected]
Hybrid C-ITS Services (3) 18
•Only TLS encrypted AMQP connections are supported.
•AMQP connections are authenticated by AMQP “plain” authentication. Can be requested by contacting email: [email protected].
Hybrid C-ITS Services (4) 19
•In order to protect the operational integrity of the UIN, the IF2 AMQP broker deployment will enforce a connection limit per virtual host.
AMQP virtual host Maximum number of concurrent AMQP
connections per account

IF2
• Events published at Zoom level 18 (100m x 100m square), as per IF2 specification.
• Quad keys added to AMQP Header based on event location.
• UUID added to AMQP header to aid tracing (should be logged but not processed by
clients)
• OBUs to subscribe at higher zoom levels (expected 13 to 15) to filter relevant data.
IF2 Message Distribution Scheme
22
Data Logging
• InterCor partners are expected to provide logging in one of the agreed data formats after every session.
•In (Netten, 2018) the formats are defined for communication, application and HMI logging that can be processed automatically and shared through a repository to provide quantitative input for the debriefings and to share results with all participants.
23
Data Logging (2)
•Other partners are encouraged to also provide and share data logging in the debriefings and the repository.
•The logging files recorded during the UK TestFest will be shared post TestFest via an online document repository
24
MESSAGE PROFILES
Chris Cowen - WSP
25
Message Profiles
• UK profiles provided for IVI, DENM and CAM messages.
• GLOSA SPAT and MAP messages are identical to those used by the Dutch at the pre-testfest in June 2018
• In the profiles the following key has been used: • Items in bold are mandatory in the standard
• Items underlined are choices to be made in the standard
• Items in italics are optional in the standard
• Items highlighted in dark pink are used
• Items highlighted in light pink are not used
Message Profiles
Message Profiles
• IVI Key Points:
• Messages modelled on a per carriageway per gantry basis
• Messages will only use the ‘New’ and ‘Update’ iviStatus
• Messages will time out when validTo time is reached
• IVI messages can contain multiple roadsign codes as well as extraText in a single message
• ExtraText is where the message sign text will be included.
• When only extraText is shown on a gantry/virtual gantry then reserved rsCodes will be used as rsCodes are mandatory values
Message Profiles
•DENM Key Points:
• eventPositionHistory will be used to describe the DENM event linear location
• traces will be used to define relevance distance
• the ‘alacarte container’ will contain the lanePosition, Roadworks>closedLanes and Roadworks>trafficFlowRule information
• Speed limit information in roadworks will be provided by IVI messages
Message Profiles
•CAM Key Points:
• Only collecting on RSU
• Includes: • the basicContainer Latitude and Longitude elements
• the highFrequencyContainer Heading and Speed mandatory elements
• Other non UK OBUs transmitting CAM messages will be received and logged via ITS-G5 units on the roadside only.
SECURITY
Kum Wah Choy - Costain
31
ITS-G5 Security
Certificate formats to comply with ETSI 103097 v1.2.1
A standalone UK Hybrid TestFest trust domain will be established, dedicated for the duration of the testfest
Manual distribution; participants expected to load certificates onto their devices via Costain Service Desk
No ITSG5 CRL or CTL - Certificate validity expires at the end of the TestFest
OBU only have permission to send CAM messages
RSU have permission to send DENM, IVI, RLT (MAP), TLM (SPAT), and CAM messages

Where will data go
•Costain created a data lake in Azure.
•Existing and new tools
•Performance of message delivery.
