General Operating Objectives:
1. Continue to monitor operational status of Communications systems.
2. Evaluate SERT Activation Level 1.3. Support Evacuation Operations. 4. Support Human Services operations.5. Continue Logistical operations.6. Plan for Search and Rescue.7. Restore Critical Infrastructure.8. Monitor for severe flooding statewide.9. Continue with the Recovery Process.
Planning Assumptions:
1. Hurricane Katrina: Has been forecast to make landfall as Category 4. Hurricane Katrina may re-curve into Florida.
2. The operational area will be split between south Florida and the Panhandle.
3. Resources must be utilized conservatively during this operational period.
4. Prepare to re-locate resources if necessary.

• Transportation Emergency Operations Center• CAP is on site• South Florida Water Management District is on site• All roads on the state road system are open.• Tolls on Florida’s Turnpike have been reinstated in Palm
Beach and Broward counties. • Effective 6:00 a.m, toll collection has been reinstated in
the Turnpike's Ticket System Three Lakes Toll Plaza to Okeechobee Road, US 27 in Miami Dade County.
• The Sawgrass Expressway and westbound I-75/Alligator Alley have also been reinstated.
• Tolls remain suspended on Florida's Turnpike in both directions from Florida City, MP 1 to Northwest 106 street, MP 34.

Broward - 1 fixed each Kitchen in Miami-Dade and Broward and is assisting with POD distributions of canned food, ice and water.
• Today, TSA Canteen deployment is: 1 in Miami-Dade - 1 Ft. Lauderdale, Broward – 2 Key West

• Total of 166.3 million gallons of fuel now available in the state. Additional 201.7 million gallons on 50 ships will arrive within 9 days

closed due to electricity outages.• Palm Beach county – Most stations open and have fuel.• Escambia county and Pensacola – Long lines. 1/3 of polled
stations report outages.• Okaloosa and Santa Rosa – Replenished fuel supplies and
short lines.• Port Status – for fuel delivery
• Port of Tampa and Port Everglades – Normal operations.• Panhandle ports ( Freeport, Niceville, Panama City, and
Pensacola) - All vessels should complete cargo operations and depart within 24 hours. Posted at 1400

• 746,800 reported outages. FPL – 738,800 outages, Municipals – 9,800 outages, Cooperatives – 200 outages.
• Broward county – 281,200 outages, Dade county – 457,400 outages, Monroe County – 8,200 outages.
• Gulf Power preparing for landfall in western panhandle.• Outage numbers, by county and utility, are in Tracker #40 and
in Groove FYI. In FYI, View By -COUNTY AND ORGINIZATION.
• FPL has a workforce of 11,700 people (7,600 field and support workers and 4,100 out of state line and tree trimming personnel).
• ETRs (Estimated Times of Restoration) FPL estimates 90% restored midnight Tuesday. The last 10% by midnight next Friday. Palm Beach county is back in power.
