Why should we care?-Hurricane Katrina killed an  approximate .total of 10,000 people -It harmed multiple states, including Mississippi(238), Louisiana(1,577), Ohio(2), Kentucky(1), Florida(14), Alabama(2), and Georgia(2). -It affected the economy and the government of our country. The national government spent $105 billion to help with reconstructions and repairs of affected states.

When did this happen?

-Hurricane Katrina happened in 2005 between August 23rd and August 25th.-Aug. 23rd-H.K. was developed at the Bahamas and passed the southern part of Florida.-Aug. 25th-H.K. became a tropical storm after it landed between Aventura and Hallandale Beach in Florida.-3 days after, the storm had intensified and reached a Category 5 status, which made it the strongest, deadliest storm that occured in the United States.-This tropical storm passed through several states, including Texas and Mississippi, until its remnants were seen at the eastern region of Great Lakes on Aug. 31st.

>Hurricane Katrina was a massive hurricane in 2005 that destroyed thousands of peoples' homes and killed thousands of people.>Hurricane Katrina hit multiple different states. That of which include:          -Mississippi          -Florida          -Georgia          -Alabama  And more.>People were spending $1,000's to help rebuild the damages.
