Family Day at Camp All ages come for a fun day at camp on Saturday, August 12th!
There is a time of year in South Dakota where at any point the weather can decided it wants to try and be winter again. In the spring no one knows what the weather will be like; one second it’s nice, the next I’m struggling to remember what summer feels like. This reminds me of our spiritual lives. Sometimes we hit seasons where we aren’t faithful to what God has asked, struggle to remember what it’s like to walk every moment by the spirit, or we just aren’t consistent in getting in God’s Word. That is why camp is important! For so many people camp is like a green house. It’s the right growing conditions with a constant temperature, where people can get away and rethink God’s bigger purpose for their crazy up and down lives. I have definitely been remind of that at our past few retreats. Thanks for being a part of making greenhouse conditions possible for discipleship at camp. It’s an important part of our walk with the Lord and our ministry here!

IMPORTANCE OF CAMP
In an interview David Wise, Gold Mentalist in Olympic
Skiing, talked about the importance of camp to him as a
kid and also explained that camp provides a place
where kids are free from distractions and have
opportunities to seek God, or, "perhaps more correctly,
have the time to be still and realize God is
seeking them." He also said...
HONESTLY, I THINK JUST BEING
SURROUNDED BY SOLD-OUT ADULT
FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST WAS ONE
OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS
ABOUT CAMP FOR ME.

Help us with: Cooking in the kitchen this summer! Cleaning up wood on our property
Setting up for the summer Mowing
Ways you can give: > Scholarships for campers who can't afford camp > Scholarships for Native American campers > To the new recreation/gym building > Help us purchase bathroom floor mats > Help us purchase a skate sharpener
Special ways to give: Remember that some financial institutions have special programs where you can easily give to a non-profit like Byron Bible Camp. For example we are registered with Thrivent and many people give through their program and the camp benefits. We can set up a corporate account at your investment company so you can give simply. When you are required to withdrawal from your retirement account you can effortlessly designate funds to the camp. Give us a call and we will help. Thanks for thinking of the camp as you give.

From the director... I am grateful and in awe of how God has blessed and provided for the camp. The recreation center/gym construction is going well. We have raised $542,556.00 total for this project. We have spent $423,966 to pour the foundation, set the walls, put on the roof with shingles and fasten the sheeting on the interior ceiling. We presently have $118,590 in the capital campaign fund so we are able to continue working. We still need to raise $460,000 to get close to completing the building.
We invite you to come by the camp to see the progress on the building any time. If you want a tour feel free to stop by the camp office we would love to show you around and give you a building plan.
Only with God’s hand could so many things happen to make this camp effective for God’s Kingdom. We continue to lean on him for provisions and direction.
Serving together,
Jon Duba

show Christ's love well. For God to provide counselors for the summer That God would draw the hearts of kids who
come to camp to himself. For funds for the recreational center/gym For wisdom for camp staff
I love you, Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take
refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
