Vision Leaders in natural resource management
MissionTo provide an integrated provincial management
system for sustainable utilization of natural resources towards quality life for all.
Constitutional Mandate
Section 27 of the Bill of Rights in the Constitution states that"27. (1) everyone has the right to have access to - health care services[1], including reproductive health care;sufficient food and water; andSocial security, including, if they are unable to support themselves
and their dependents, appropriate social assistance.The state must take reasonable legislative and other measures
within its available resources, to achieve the progressive realisation of each of these rights."
[1] Health care services should be viewed as inclusive of veterinary public health functions

• Food security is very complex requires a multidisciplinary approach.
• Stakeholders coordination cannot be over emphasized • Complementary interventions by the municipalities,
NGO’ and related stakeholders is key towards implementation of government developmental programs
• Integrated planning will always improve service delivery and avoid duplications.
