I am Adaeze Onwuzuruike, a senior at Howard University majoring in Political science & Administration of Justice. I am originally Nigerian and hail from the Igbo heartland in South eastern Nigeria. After my undergraduate studies, I plan on pursuing a Master's degree in Human Resources and eventually, a JD. My long-term career goal is to become a labor & employment lawyer. I would like to use my current academic pursuit to work in resolving issues affecting the welfares of employees in the labor market.

OUR BIG IDEA
Hunger in East Africa

FOR the first time since the 1980s, the UN has declared a famine in Africa. An exceptionally severe drought is the main cause. More than 10m people are directly affected. The epicenter is in Somalia and Ethiopia—as aid agencies have made abundantly clear in their funding appeals—but the situation in neighboring Eritrea is almost as desperate and politically much more complicated.

BREAD FOR THE WORLD• Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our
nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. By changing policies, programs and conditions that allow hunger and poverty to persist, we provide help and opportunity far beyond the communities where we live. Bread for the World is a 501(c)4 organization.
