VISION• For our team to be successful we need to have a shared vision and be working together towards

clear goals.

• Core values about our beliefs in this LA will underpin our vision and ensure heightened team efficacy.

• Discussion/IDEAS

Empowering students to be experimental thinkers and confident, respectful social actors

When students undertake humanities subjects they are being exposed to the diversity of experiences across social, moral, political, historical, economic, geographical, cultural, ethical and generational boundaries.

The Humanities learning area is a place where cultural capital is being built-in for students who may otherwise have barriers in accessing it. It is a place where students are making meaning within and making sense of the world around them.

ACTION: First meeting of 2104, decision on values & mission of humanities team

PLT STRUCTUREFortnightly meetings are structured according to MLP-12C PLT guidelines. Our time together will be divided into 3 areas – developmental, strategic and operational. The bulk of the operational requirements will be addressed via e-mails. Leaving our face to face meeting time for developmental and strategic items.

The core purpose of our meeting in teams is to decide upon a PLT focus and to collectively explore this focus in an ongoing professional, and collaborative capacity.

We must be productive in our limited time spent together and in the interest of enhanced collegiate performance, share our work with our colleagues on a regular basis.
