What’S “Human Rights in Schools"“Human Rights in Schools" is a project which aims to develop a culture of peace and human rights awareness , through non formal peer education methods, active participation of the children, through interactive games, theatre, short films , debates …
Why ?After the arab spring, Tunisians retrived their freedom and began their journey to build a new country whose laws are based on the respect of human rights. But there is a question on which opinions diverge: What are Human Rights ?
When ? Where ? Who ?It consists in delivering Human Rights workshops for 11-12 year-old Primary school Students, during the Scolar Year (2012-2013 and 2013-2014) The project has been realised during two years… different classes have been attended in 3 different schools
How ?4 trainings held by certified Human Rights trainers80 educators Several Meetings to establish the agenda and the details of the human rights education sessionSurvival Kit is distributed to the educators : it describes how an educator should behave to deliver a successful session 3 sessions in parralel 2h30 each
one !
The Manual volunteers have translated and simplified the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in arabic and have illustrated the articles with simplified illustrations.Manuals will be distributed to students and we make sure that it would be reachable in the school library

What about purposes ? we intend to continue the project in the coming years, thus educators would train themselves more and more , and the impact would be more and more important , and the information would attend more and more children , and why not the culture of Human Rights will be gradually established.
