Rolando dela Cruz

ROLANDO DELA CRUZ

• multi-awarded Filipino Scientist and inventor

• invented the DeMole, DeWart, and DeBCC

• a former barber in Caloocan City who became familiar with fungal infections and skin diseases of his clients

• President and CEO of RCC Amazing Touch International Inc., which runs clinics engaged in a non-surgical removal of warts, moles, etc.

HOW DID HE GET THOSE IDEAS?

De la Cruz said he discovered the health properties of cashew nut through an “accident.” “I was a young boy

then and I was eating cashew seeds when I felt a burning sensation. In tears, I ran to my mother, who told me in

Kapampangan that it is the cashew seeds I had chewed that had burnt me,” De la Cruz said with a smile as he recalled how his mother taught him that cashew nuts

produce heat.

In high school, De la Cruz said he had a classmate who underwent treatment for warts on the neck: “My

classmate told me he could not stand the pain of the wart-removal treatment which involved heat. He said it

was painful even with anesthesia. It was then that I recalled the cashew incident.”

DEWART/DEMOLE

• One of dela Cruz’s scientific breakthroughs is the Dewart or Demole cream.

• It is mainly comprised of cashew nut extract. Dela Cruz got the inspiration to use this indigenous nut after he accidentally squeezed a cashew nut on his wart when he was a child. The wart shrunk without fuss.

• Used for non-surgical, painless, and bloodless removal of warts, moles and other skin growths without anesthesia and leave no scars

DEBCC

• Yet another cream from dela Cruz is DeBCC, also made from cashew nut and other Philippine herbs.
