A Long History of Excellence
1964 Arthur D. Little Inc., the world’s oldest
management consulting firm, establishes its
School of Management. Modeled after top
business programs, the school attracts some of
the world’s most successful business leaders.
1965 Swedish entrepreneur Bertil Hult founds
EF Education First, today the world’s largest
privately held education organization, with
34,000 staff and teachers and 400 schools and
offices in more than 50 countries.
1976 The business school is officially
accredited by the New England Association of

accrediting body for all academic institutions in
the northeastern U.S.
1998 Forbes identifies our Action Learning

top five MBA programs in the U.S.
2002 The Economist ranks the school the
third best business school in Massachusetts,
after Harvard Business School and
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
2003 The school is renamed Hult International
Business School, honoring benefactor Bertil
Hult’s personal vision and commitment to
educating international business leaders. The
school moves to its own dedicated facility near
downtown Boston.
2005 Hult earns accreditation of the
Association of MBAs (AMBA), making Hult
the first business school in the U.S. to be
recognized by this prestigious international
accrediting body.
2007 Hult launches an elective module at
its study abroad campus in Shanghai as a key
component of the Hult global experience.
2008 Hult welcomes the first class of
students to the MBA program in Dubai. Hult is
the first U.S. academic institute to be licensed
in the U.A.E.
2009 The Financial Times adds Hult
International Business School to its prestigious
Top 100 Global MBA rankings. Hult’s London
campus welcomes undergraduates and graduates.

What Makes Us Different?
Hult’s Global Rotation Program provides an
extraordinary opportunity to study in the
world’s fastest growing economies
An international perspective is crucial to
understanding today’s business issues. Hult’s
Global Rotation Program allows students to gain
critical insights into the world’s key economies.
You can opt to pursue your Master degree
in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai,
or Shanghai (please note that the Shanghai
campus is available for Master of International
Business only). No matter which home campus
you choose, you will receive the same fully
accredited education of identical quality, using
an identical curriculum. Students will spend nine
months at their home campus (Boston, San
Francisco, London, Dubai, or Shanghai) for the
core courses. When students move on to their
elective modules, they will be given an option to
study at Hult’s other campuses.
Hult’s LEAP Method gives you board-level
exposure to leading companies
Hult is the pioneer in action learning, integrating
classroom teaching with real-life situations.
Our curriculum is based on three components:
“Learn”, “Experience”, and “Action Project”—
Hult’s LEAP Method. This means not simply
sitting in a classroom, but actually going into the
real world and applying the tools and concepts
to real business situations. Theory is taught in
the classroom through lectures and required
readings. The theory is then put to the test
through case studies of actual business problems
and business simulations. An integral part of
our LEAP Method is the Action Project, which
gives you the chance to apply the skills you have
learned in the classroom and work as part of a
small team focused on solving a current business
problem for a top company.
A truly international student body
For over 40 years we have been training leaders
from all over the world—from Spain to South
Africa, Iceland to India, and China to Chile.
Our current student body is made up of
experienced professionals from over 80 different
countries. The breadth of experience, insight,
and cultural perspectives that our students
bring to the classroom creates an extraordinary
learning experience.
For over 40 years, we have attracted top international
students to our business school. Our campuses
around the world help train global business leaders.
What makes us so successful?
Top-ranked Business SchoolOur world-class faculty possesses
real-world business experience
Our global faculty has outstanding academic
credentials combined with real-life experience
running and managing successful businesses.
For example, Professor Patrick Courtin, who
teaches Negotiations, has been the CEO of
several successful high-tech companies and
serves on the board of major enterprises; Dr.
Hitendra Patel, chairman of Hult’s Innovation and
Growth Action Learning Program, has worked
at Motorola and Monitor Group, and founded
venture-backed companies and registered
six patents. Hult professors are seasoned
professionals with expertise in teaching
international managers—80 percent have
extensive international experience and many
are citizens of countries other than the U.S.
substantial portion of our faculty are practitioners
and are actively engaged as directors of
corporations, consultants, or managers of
growth companies.
Formerly known as the Arthur D. Little
School of Management
Hult International Business
School was formerly known
as the Arthur D. Little School
of Management. Arthur D.
Little Inc., the world’s first
management consulting
firm, established the school in 1964 to train
global business leaders. Arthur Dehon Little
(1863-1935) was an MIT-educated chemist
who is known as the father of the consulting
industry. Dr. Little started his company in 1886
in Cambridge, Massa chusetts. As the first to
see the need for a professional organi zation to
provide systematic research and development
and sage advice to industry, Dr. Little began
the original consulting practice that spawned
successors like McKinsey, Bain, BCG, and
Monitor. For 120 years, the company and the
ideas that Arthur D. Little conceived have helped
industry and governments manage change
induced by technological, economic, and social
forces. Today, Arthur D. Little Inc. is part of
an international network of more than 18,000
professionals in over 30 countries around
the world.

“There are few schools that truly offer a global business education today. Hult offered me a curriculum focused on immediate practical application while teaching me about doing business in different cultural settings. The school’s highly international student body, campuses in today’s economic hotspots, and faculty comprised of accomplished practitioners rather than academics helped get me ready for a career in international business. In just one year I received the kind of hands-on, real-world education one usually only gets after years at a multinational company.”

At Hult, we turn conventional classroom learning on
its head. We apply technology, innovation, and a lot of
enthusiasm to make sure your experience is extraordinary
even outside of the classroom—from speakers,

you learn in the classroom that counts the most, but also
how you experience Hult.

The Accelerated Leadership Track
The Hult Global Case Challenge is the world’s
most prestigious business school competition,
offering a USD1 million prize.
Spearheaded by the Hult Consulting Club, the
event is run simultaneously across all of the
Hult campuses, and brings together teams from
the top-business schools on the planet. These
teams tackle a case challenge set in conjunction
with a leading charity. In keeping with the
School’s focus on practical education, the
USD1 million prize money is donated to the
charity to help roll-out the winning idea.
Last year saw over 300 business school students
from Hult, Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT), Stanford, Oxford, Cambridge,
Imperial, INSEAD, Columbia, and other
renowned programs present their strategies to
help One Laptop per Child redefine the way the
poorest children in the world learn. This annual
competition is a fantastic showcase for Hult
student talent, as well as providing a platform for
business school students to meaningfully address
a major social problem.
Hult’s Global Case Challenge revolutionizes the business of giving by awarding USD1 million to charity in international student competition
Last year’s sponsors included:
“The Global Case Challenge unites and inspires the best and brightest minds to develop viable technological solutions to the education issues that plague our society. Microsoft is proud to collaborate with the Hult International Business School and others in hosting competitive events like this that drive business students to be responsible strategists for the global greater good.”

Why do graduates often struggle initially?
The major complaint from employers regarding
recent graduates is their inability to put the
theory they have learned in the classroom into
practice. Employers say that they need to often
provide significant additional training to help
new hires become effective executives. This
concern is unsurprising when you consider that
most business schools don’t offer their students
the opportunity to practice the techniques
they have studied before they graduate. This
is counterintuitive, since everyone instinctively
understands that you only learn by doing. You
cannot learn business in a classroom, just as
you cannot master golf by reading a book.
Hult’s innovative curriculum has been
forged by the demands of employers and
realities of business
Hult International Business School, born from
the world’s first management consulting firm
Arthur D. Little Inc. over 40 years ago, has
always had a different take on standard business
education practices. The school pioneered
the concept of “Action Learning”, requiring all
Hult students to undertake a consulting project
with a real company as part of their graduation
requirements. We have methodically improved
this approach to where it is today—something
we call the Hult LEAP Method: Learn,
Experience, Action Project.
Learn from faculty who have real
business experience
Unlike other business schools that are research-
oriented, Hult’s talented pool of teaching faculty
are academics who have significant business
experience. Over 80 percent of our faculty have
had real-world business experience, working
for companies like Procter & Gamble, Motorola,
Credit Suisse, and Monitor Group. Others have
started successful ventures themselves. This
wealth of knowledge and practical business
experience is an essential component of the Hult
LEAP method, since it helps ensure all facets are
seamlessly integrated to provide an exceptional
educational experience.
Hult’s LEAP Method
The Hult LEAP Method is a hands-on approach to learning that
is at the heart of our curriculum, culminating in a presentation
to the management of a leading company. No other business
school offers such an invaluable opportunity to put classroom
theory into practice.
What is LEAP and how does it work?
We believe that no other curriculum graduates significantly better business leaders than Hult. Such
a program is very difficult to execute, requiring a new level of integration between traditional faculty,
career services, and corporate executives. Hult has developed this program by carefully refining the
action learning component based on the feedback of both participating companies and students.
Our curriculum is divided into three distinct stages:
Students start by learning
theory and business
fundamentals in the classroom.
Like most top business schools,
Hult faculty extensively employs
the case study methodology
to help students understand
the theory in the context of a
business problem. Professors
encourage thought-provoking
debate, giving students the
chance to benefit from the
wealth of experience and
perspectives that diverse
classmates bring. However,
unlike other top business
schools this is not where the
learning stops.
Through discussions
with industry experts and
company visits, the practical
realities of executing the
classroom theory are brought
to life. Meaningful dialogue with
active business leaders helps
students appreciate how real-
world executives make decisions
in a fast-moving, competitive
environment with imperfect
information. For example, a
senior executive of Real Madrid
Football Club explains the
economics of running one of
the world’s largest sports
franchises, while the co-founder
of Apple discusses how
to maintain innovation in a
corporate environment.
Participate in a real-
world project for a major
company. With a small team
of classmates and a faculty
advisor, students will compete
against other teams to develop
a growth plan for a leading
company. Over a period of
six weeks, each team will
work with the company to
develop an idea and business
case. Then, you will present
your recommendations to an
executive or manager of that
company.

our campuses in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai,
or Shanghai.
Global Campus Rotation
Live and study in the world’s
most influential cities Hult’s
Global Campus Rotation gives
you the chance to study at up to
three of our five campuses. This
provides Hult students with a
unique opportunity to experience
firsthand the emerging markets
of the Middle East or China,
or to develop a broad network
of corporate contacts across
multiple continents. Once you
start your Master program on
your home campus, you can
decide where to take elective
courses. Choose to stay on your
home campus for the full year,
or spend up to 12 weeks on one
or two other campuses.
A seamless experience, from
Hult to Hult Our Global Campus
Rotation is fully integrated into
our Master curricula. In contrast
to most business schools that
offer their students study abroad
opportunities through exchange
programs with other schools,
Hult prides itself on being the full
provider of the Global Campus
Rotation. This means that no
matter which Hult campus you
are on, you will use the same
electronic library, the same
course management system,
and will be familiar with the way
our Career Services and Student
Services work. Our global
campus network ensures that
your educational experience is
uninterrupted and hassle-free.
Bringing the study of
international business to life
Learn about Islamic finance on
our Dubai campus, and then
enjoy a fascinating discussion
with the leading bankers of the
region. Or discuss a case study
on our Shanghai campus about
the manufacturing industry and
then go on a factory tour of the
world’s largest textile factory the
next day. Nothing can replace
the experience of really getting
an on-the-ground understanding
of what is happening in different
parts of the world.
Expand your international
network Mingle with classmates
from other campuses during
your Global Campus Rotation.
Build valuable contacts as you
study alongside new faces and
learn from different faculty on our
campuses. The Career Services
and Student Services teams on
each campus will ensure that
you have many opportunities
to network with your peers and
industry professionals alike.
Details about Global
Campus Rotation:
• Global Campus Rotation
takes place during Module C
or D. Around 50 percent of
our students participate on a
rotation, while the rest remain
on their home campus for the
entire Master program.
• Global Campus Rotation is
optional, but you must decide
if you would like to participate
during elective course
registration which occurs by
mid-Module B.
• Global Campus Rotation option
is included in your tuition but
a deposit is required. Airfare,
visas, and accommodation are
not included.
• It is not guaranteed that all
campuses will be open to
rotation for students across
all Master programs. For each
program, rotation to a specific
campus will only be offered
if sufficient students from
that program wish to study
at that campus. This will be
determined after the course
registration in Module B.
• Student Services provides
resources for travel,
accommodation, and visa
arrangements during Rotation.
• In order to participate in the
Rotation, you must be in good
academic standing (GPA of
2.67 or above).
• Global Campus Rotation is
subject to each campus’s
capacity. If demand exceeds
capacity, a lottery will be used
to ascertain attendance.
• You may choose to graduate
from your home campus or
from the campus you rotate to
during Module D.

Hult’s Global Rotation Program
An international perspective is crucial to
understanding today’s business issues. Hult’s
Global Rotation Program allows MIB students

Master of Digital Marketing
Digital marketing is about how we communicate using
digital media and how companies can use these channels
to promote their products effectively. Hult’s Master of Digital
Marketing covers every aspect of digital marketing.
Jump start your career straight
from university
Marketing has changed for good. Digital media
now plays a vital role in most advertising
campaigns and digital marketing has already
become a massive USD55 billion global industry.
In many markets, online advertising expenditure
has already overtaken television expenditure and
is set to triple in size over the next five years.
As a result, all marketers must have an in-depth
understanding of digital techniques. Those who
do so will find themselves in great demand;
those who don’t will be forever playing catch-
up. Hult is one of the first business schools in
the world to offer a Master of Digital Marketing
degree to equip students with the strategic
business and marketing skills necessary to thrive
in today’s digital age.
Be at the forefront of innovative thinking
and practice
Technology and the Internet have dramatically
changed the way that businesses interact,
market, and sell to customers. The rapid
replacement of traditional media by social
networking sites, websites, blogs, and video
sharing sites has created an urgent demand for
professionals who can think innovatively about
how to capitalize and capture the opportunities
of an enormous audience through digital
channels. Our Master program puts you on the
fast-track to understanding the industry and
gaining the skills needed to secure jobs with
leading brands or agencies around the world.
A highly relevant education in both business
and digital marketing
Hult’s Master of Digital Marketing has been
designed in collaboration with the leading
provider of best practice and education for the
digital sector, Econsultancy. During a single
year, students will gain core skills in finance,
accounting, strategy, general management,
as well as Internet marketing, web analytics,
and search engine optimization. Master-
level knowledge in both business and digital
marketing provides a platform for a diverse and
exciting range of career opportunities.
Our Master of Digital Marketing goes global
You can enroll in our Master of Digital Marketing
on any of Hult’s main campuses—Boston, San
Francisco, London, or Dubai. No matter where
you choose to study, this program enables you
to harness new technologies, optimize trends,
and think creatively about digital marketing
communications.
Learn from industry practitioners
Hult is one of the world’s leading business
schools and is focused on providing its students
with a practical business education. Hult’s partner,
Econsultancy, has taught digital marketing to
many of the world’s leading companies including
Microsoft, Google, McCann-Erickson, Turner
Broadcasting, CNN, HBO, and GE. The entire
faculty has outstanding academic credentials
combined with in-depth practical experience.
As a result, you will not only learn the academic
theory behind digital, but you will also get hands-
on exposure to the tools and understand the real-
world practice that employers value so highly.
The key to a promising career
Our program equips you with the knowledge
and practical skills needed to become the digital
marketing “whiz” in any organization. Graduates
will be able to manage online campaigns and can
expect to work for employers such as advertising
agencies (e.g. BBDO, DDB, TBWA, and WPP)
advising clients on their digital marketing
strategies; retail and fast moving consumer
goods companies (e.g. Tesco, John Lewis, and
Procter & Gamble) that increasingly market their
products and services online; or technology
companies (e.g. Google and Microsoft) that are
shaping the digital marketing arena.
Action Project provides hands-on experience
Conduct a groundbreaking study on blogging or
devise an e-marketing strategy for a real-world
company; Hult’s Action Projects allow you to
gain practical business and digital marketing
skills while helping actual businesses address
issues around innovation and growth. During the
elective module of the Master program, students
form small teams led by a faculty advisor to
research real-life business cases and propose
strategically sound and practical solutions.

A Global Student Body
Selected from a wide range of industries as well
as nationalities, our student body is a talented and
diverse group. At Hult you learn as much from
your classmates as from your professors.
There is no typical Hult student
Our students bring with them many different
interests and areas of functional expertise—from
media to marketing, finance to technology,
engineering to consulting. The various skills and
perspectives of each student enrich the Hult
learning experience. Whether you are learning
about business etiquette in Japan or negotiating
tactics in Latin America, your classmates will
add an essential element of diversity to your
Master degree program. You will soon discover
for yourself that there is no typical Hult student.
Diverse learning environment
Our school’s small size gives students
the opportunity to really get to know their
classmates and their professors and to develop
lasting relationships. Within the first few days,
you will quickly meet each person in your class.
When you walk into Hult, you will immediately
sense the culture of personal attention and
teamwork. Despite the competitiveness
and focus required to complete a Master in
one year, our students often remark on how
comfortable they feel during the program and
how supportive the school is of their needs.
This fellowship extends beyond the classroom,
as students meet informally to discover
their new surroundings. These kinds of
experiences cement friendships and create
unforgettable memories.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Hult’s MBA program is recognized as
world-class
Hult is ranked in the top 20 business schools
in the U.S. and top 30 in the world by The
Economist. Hult is also ranked in the Financial
Times’ Top 100 Global Business School

other programs
Compared to other top business schools, Hult
represents a very smart investment. Equipped
with an MBA, Hult graduates command
competitive starting salaries. The fact that a one-
year MBA program costs less and gets students
back to the workforce sooner means Hult
graduates, on average, are able to recoup their
investment in just over a year. This is far quicker
than traditional two-year U.S. MBA programs.
One global MBA, fi ve locations
Hult’s Global Rotation Program provides an
extraordinary opportunity to study in the world’s
key economies. An international perspective is
crucial to understanding today’s business issues.
You can opt to pursue your MBA in Boston,
San Francisco, London, Dubai, or Shanghai.
No matter which home campus you choose,
you will receive the same fully accredited one-
year MBA education of identical quality, using
the same intensive curriculum. Students will
spend nine months at their home campus
for the core courses, and can then choose to
take their elective courses on one of Hult’s
other campuses.
Expert Career Services network
With offices in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East,
and Asia, Hult is uniquely positioned to help our
international students find global employment
opportunities. Hult’s Career Services team
maintains corporate connections around the
world and actively cultivates employer contacts
for all students.
A truly international student body
Hult’s students are internationally experienced
professionals with an average age of 30
and an average of seven years’ work experience.
The breadth of experience, insight, and
cultural perspectives that Hult students bring
to the classroom creates an extraordinary
learning experience.
Faculty with real-world experience
The Hult faculty has outstanding academic
credentials combined with real-life experience
running and managing successful businesses.
Hult professors are seasoned professionals with
expertise teaching international managers—80
percent have extensive international experience
and many are citizens of countries other than
the U.S.

Admissions Policy
The admissions policy of the Hult International Business School is
intended to assess how an applicant might contribute to and benefi t
from an intensive graduate business education in a culturally diverse
institutional environment. It refl ects a “holistic approach” to application
review based on (1) Basic Admissions Criteria, (2) Primary Personal
Factors, and (3) Secondary Personal Factors, as set forth below:
Basic Admissions Criteria
1. Satisfactory GMAT/GRE score required for MFIN, preferred though
not required for MIB
2. Undergraduate degree
3. Undergraduate transcript
4. Letters of reference
5. English language profi ciency
Primary Personal Factors
1. National origin, ethnicity, gender (to ensure diversity)
2. Career goals
3. Entrepreneurial skills
4. Evidence of
• Leadership
• Professional promise
• Motivation and drive
• Overcoming adversity, including disabilities
Secondary Personal Factors
1. Professional certifi cations
2. Honors and awards
3. Publications
4. Membership in professional or business associations
5. Community or national service
6. Extracurricular activities
The above factors are not exhaustive. They may be weighed
differently. They may not, however, be subsumed to a standard
formula or ranking. They should be considered in conjunction with all
other admissions criteria and factors, in light of the school’s mission
and purpose.
Financial Aid Policy
The Hult fi nancial aid policy is intended to advance the school’s
mission to deliver a useful and enduring business education to
international professionals. It is based on the following objectives:
(1) to promote a nationally, culturally, and ethnically diverse student
body, (2) to encourage outstanding applicants to enroll in the Hult
Program, (3) to provide fi nancial assistance to qualifi ed applicants in
need of such assistance. Consistent with these objectives, Hult has
set forth the following guidelines for the awarding of scholarships,
fellowships, and other forms of fi nancial aid:
All such awards should be based on the following criteria:
1. Country of origin to ensure national, cultural, and ethnic diversity
2. Financial need
3. Specialized knowledge, skills, and/or expertise
4. Career goals
5. Entrepreneurial skills
6. Community, public, or national service
7. Evidence of
• Leadership
• Professional promise
• Motivation and drive
• Overcoming adversity, including disabilities
The above criteria are not exhaustive. They may be weighed
differently. They may not, however, be reduced to a standard formula
or ranking. They should be considered in light of the school’s
admissions criteria, its mission and purpose, and U.S. Equal
Opportunity laws.
Withdrawal Policy
A student may withdraw from the Master program at any time upon
giving written notice to the school’s Registrar. The withdrawing
student may re-enter the program at a later date, without having
to reapply for admission. He or she may use any unexpired refund
credit (see “Refund Policy” below) toward the receipt of educational
services or materials, priced at the rate prevailing at the time of
re-entry. Course choices and study program will be subject to space
and scheduling availability. In addition to providing written notice to the
Registrar, all students must meet with the Dean prior to withdrawing.
Resource and Capacity constraints
Global Rotation Program
The Global Rotation Program is subject to capacity constraints.
Students must be in good academic standing and be up-to-date on
tuition payments to participate in this program. A deposit of USD500/
GBP330 or equivalent is required to secure each rotation (if students
wish to rotate in Module C and Module D they will be required to pay
two deposits at USD500/GBP330 each). This deposit is refundable
upon participation in the rotation.
Electives
Electives are subject to capacity and scheduling constraints; not
all electives will be available on all campuses. In general, when
oversubscribed, elective spaces are allocated based on preferences
elicited from the students.
iPads
Hult’s intention is that all students receive an iPad as part of their Hult
program. Hult cannot, however, be responsible for iPad availability and
the supply of the iPads will therefore be subject to availability.
Refund Policy
The school grants only credit refunds that may be used within a
fi ve-year period for future educational services. It does not grant
cash refunds.
The date on which the notice of intention to withdraw and not re-enter
is received by the Registrar, or the date on which the student is
informed of his or her dismissal from the school, will determine that
student’s liability for tuition and other program-related costs.
1. If the notice of intention is received before the fi rst day of the
Master Toolbox, the student will be entitled to a full credit refund
of any paid tuition and other program-related costs, less the
program deposit, application fees, and insurances fees, which are
non-refundable. After the fi rst day of class in the Master Toolbox
or in any module, the amount of any refund will be based on the
following schedule:
Withdrawals after: Will receive a credit refund for:
First day of Toolbox Tuition for Modules A, B and C
Student Resources and Activities
Hult Case Study Packs
First day of Module A Tuition for Module B and C
2/3 Student Resources and Activities
2/3 Hult Case Study Packs
First day of Module B Tuition for Module C
1/3 Student Resources and Activities
1/3 Hult Case Study Packs
First day of Module C No refund will be due
2. In the case of a student who receives fi nancial aid from Hult in the
form of a scholarship and/or fellowship, the amount of any credit
refund will be net of such aid, prorated over three modules as
follows:
Withdrawals before: Credit refund will be net of:
First day of Module A 100% total fi nancial aid received
First day of Module B 66% total fi nancial aid received
First day of Module C 33% total fi nancial aid received
Grading Procedure
1. Grading Standards
Course instructors will evaluate and assess participant
performance. Grades are assigned according to the Instructor’s
assessment of performance on the intellectual and professional
criteria established for the course. The Instructor has full authority
and responsibility to establish performance criteria, evaluate
participant performance, and award grades. The Faculty uses the
following grading system to evaluate participant performance:
Points Grade Performance
4.00 A Outstanding
3.67 A- Excellent
3.33 B+ Very Good
3.00 B Good
2.67 B- Acceptable
2.33 C+ High Marginal
2.00 C Marginal
1.67 C- Low Marginal
1.00 D Unsatisfactory
0 F Fail
Acceptable graduate-level work is a B- or better. The Registrar
releases offi cial fi nal course grades at the end of each module in
the form of a transcript. Individual grade breakdowns (participation,
homework, and exam grades, for example) are available only from
Instructors. Every Hult student is entitled to know the manner in
which his or her course grade was calculated.
2. Grade Point Average
A weighted grade point average (GPA) is computed by multiplying
the numerical grade received for each course or module by
the number of credit hours per course, totaling these fi gures,
then dividing the sum by the total credit hours. “Pass” and
“Incomplete” grades and their corresponding credits are not
factored into the weighted average. A “Fail” will be factored into
the weighted average as a numerical grade of zero.
Every course in which a student has enrolled, and for which a
student has been assigned a letter grade, will be denoted on his
or her transcript. Every letter grade denoted on the transcript will
be factored into the calculation of the student’s overall GPA.
Graduation Requirements
1. Basic Requirements
MIB candidates must complete 37 credits of course work to
be eligible for the MIB degree. Other Master candidates must
complete 36 credits of course work to be eligible for their
respective degree. Course credit is awarded for achieving a grade
better than “F” on a course. All courses in Module A or B as well
as the skills track courses must be completed with a satisfactory
grade. Should a participant receive an “F” on a required course,
this course must be re-taken at Hult or an approved institution
within a period of three years from the participant’s original
enrollment date and the participant must achieve a satisfactory
grade. Those who satisfy all program requirements (including:
participation in all courses, payment of all fi nancial obligations,
return of all library materials, and completion of all evaluations),
who receive a grade other than “Incomplete” for each course, who
have no outstanding Honor Code issues, and who have a fi nal
GPA of 2.70 or better are granted the Master degree. Degrees
are recommended by the Dean to the Faculty and the Board
of Trustees and awarded by vote of the Faculty and the Board.
In addition, for visa purposes, the student must meet full-time
student residency requirements of the campus host country.
2. Dean’s List
Participants who earn a GPA of 3.60 or above for any Module are
formally named to the Hult International Business School Dean’s
List for that Module. Qualifying participants receive notifi cation
from the Dean with appropriate recording in the participant’s
permanent academic fi le. With the participant’s approval, formal
announcement of this scholastic achievement will be made to
respective sponsors and agencies. The school is very pleased to
offer this achievement award and hopes this award will serve as
added incentive for all participants.
3. Graduation with Honors
Participants graduating with a cumulative GPA at or above 3.60
and who are in the top 10% of the class will be designated a Hult
Scholar and will receive their degree “with Distinction” indicating
the highest honor. Those whose cumulative GPA is 3.60 or above
but who are not in the top 10% of the class will receive their
degree “with Excellence”, as recommended to the Faculty and
Board of Trustees by the Dean.
Dismissal from the Program
The school reserves the right to dismiss any participant at any time
whose academic performance is unsatisfactory, whose conduct
constitutes unacceptable professional behavior, or whose legal or
medical problems hinder satisfactory performance. In such cases, the
Dean will notify the participant in writing, a degree will not be awarded
to the participant, and, as appropriate, the participant’s sponsor will
be notifi ed.
