All Duke’s sandwiches are served on a genuine Hawaiian sweet bun baked by a guy we brought in from Honolulu on thepromise of a great job, great pay, and lots of chicks! We also make him mix our cole slaw to order (no, seriously) so it’s neversoggy (because Duke hates that). We even make him cut fresh potatoes for our unique petal fries.

Duke’s Story"Out of the water, I'm nothing"

Born August 24th, 1894 in Honolulu, DukeKahanamoku went on to become the undisputed

father of modern surfing.Although Hawaiians had been riding waves since

before the arrival of Captain Cook, Duke exposed thesport to the rest of the world. After winning a gold

and silver medal in swimming at the StockholmOlympics, he traveled the world and subsequentlyintroduced surfing to the East Coast, Australia and

New Zealand, demonstrating his talent andspreading Aloha to scores of enthralled spectators.
