GENERAL INFOS AND APPLICATIONENVIRONMENT
MUX VLAN is commonly used to isolate Layer 2 traffic of different interfaces in a VLAN. In our example we will assume a simple configuration scenario: on an enterprise network, all employees can access the enterprise server, some employees need to communicate with each other, whereas some employees must be isolated each other. As shown in the picture, MUX VLAN can be configured on the Switch to meet the enterprise's requirements. A MUX vlan consists of different vlantypes, that are listed in the Table.

CREATING VLANS FOR MUX VLAN

1. Create vlans
Enter the configuration view
Create vlans 5, 7 e 10
Exit the configuration view
CONFIGURING PRINCIPAL VLAN AND SUBORDINATE VLANS
2. Configure the vlan types
<Huawei> system-view[Huawei] vlan 10[Huawei-vlan10] mux-vlan[Huawei-vlan10] subordinate group 7[Huawei-vlan10] subordinate separate 5[Huawei-vlan10] quit
Enter the configurationview
Enter the vlan 10 view
Configure vlan 10 as the principalvlan
Exit the vlan 10 view
Configure vlan 7 as the subordinate groupvlan
Configure vlan 5 as the subordinate separate vlan

3. Add interfaces to vlansEnter the interfaceview
Configure the port type
Configure the vlan for the port
Exit the interface view
Enable the mux vlan functionality
