Fungsi mirip dengan OTB, sebagai cross-connect kabel optic dari OLT ke MSAN.

Konektor optic yang digunakan sesuai BoQ, yaitu SC.

Uplink GE (OPGD): modul IPMD with special LC SFP (one-fiber bidirectional 1GE physical links)C. DATA PLAN1. Parameter Konfigurasi Logic OLT & MSAN :a. Alokasi IP MSAN adalah /26 berarti tiap group ada 64 IP, 5 reserved tinggal 59 IP.

b. VLAN di OLT:

OAM GPON, dan semua VLAN MSAN-MSAN yang nanti connect ke OLT (OAM NB MSAN, OAM BB MSAN, Signaling & Voice MSAN, SPEEDY, Multicast IPTV, Unicast IPTV, VOBB).

Semua type VLAN di OLT adalah SMART kecuali OAM GPON dengan type STANDARD, dan OAM GPON tidak perlu dicreate di MSAN.c. Karena capability metro-E untuk create L2-VPN dengan ID yang sama di satu port (sbg. Uplink-nya OLT) tidak bisa, maka tiap vlan yang mempunyai interface-vlanif dan gateway di PE, harus dibedakan VLAN di tiap segmen group-nya !!!Contoh (lihat Cirebon):

ONT-LineProfile GPON (MSAN dianggap sebagai ONT oleh OLT)ONT-LineProfile GPON ini adalah tempat untuk cross-connect GEM (GPON Encapsulation Mode) ke ETHERNET yang akan membawa semua service yang lewat OLT. Karena parameter sangat banyak, maka diperlukan data plan mapping yang tepat dan teliti. Command description, profile-id dan profile-name menjadi sangat penting dan bermanfaat di sini.a. Jika VLAN Speedy sama semua (misal 3000 semua), maka tiap segmen group IP&VLAN bisa menggunakan satu ONT-LineProfile (ada maksimum 59 MSAN)b. Jika VLAN Speedy dibuat lurus dengan metro-E dan BRAS, maka tiap MSAN bisa menggunakan satu ONT-LineProfile, ATAU tiap 8 MSAN menggunakan satu ONT-LineProfile. Ini terkait dengan kemampuan GEM hanya bisa dimapping ke 8 VLAN. Ini yang dideploy di divre 3.c. Untuk memudahkan ingatan dan konfigurasi, maka semua index yang dipakai di parameter DBA (dynamic bandwidth assignment), GEM, Traffic Table, dan lain-lain akan disamakan dengan VLAN masing-masing service atau kalau pun tidak bisa sama, maka dibuat mendekati sama.
