Debenhams, Alshaya owns more than 2200 stores across the globe.
Huawei helped Alshaya build a large scale datacenter in its
headquarter, which by upgrading its previous IP network carrying
both voice and data, met the increasing bandwidth and data
processing requirement caused by newly opened stores within the
group in the next 5 years. By deploying Huawei intelligent retail
solution, Alshaya solved the maintenance issues brought by the
previous multi-vendor, lowering maintenance cost afterwards by
more than 50%.
Located in Nertherland, Amazing Oriental suppermarket is the
largest chain store selling Asian foods in European continent. It has
16 stores in Netherland and plans to open stores in other European
countries like Spain. The previous IT infrastructure was poorly
utilized, hard for maintenance with low reliability and data security.
Huawei deployed Retail All-in-one Cabinet in its headquarter,
realizing unified management of all IT resources. Huawei Cloud
Desk-top Solution uses TC – thin client – to replace previous POS
computer and office computer in the stores. All the data store and
process is concentrated in the All-in-one Cabinet deployed in the
headquater, realizing cloud suppermarket. A store clerk can use his
own device to log in the datacenter with a unified virtual machine
account at any time and anywhere, achieving a full mobile store.
