1 Helping Enterprise Customers Build High-Quality WLANs
Huawei 802.11n series wireless access points (APs) are the third generation of Huawei-developed WLAN products. They
integrate the latest available WLAN commercial chips and inherit high performance, high reliability, and high security from
similar Huawei products. Huawei 802.11n APs provide multi-service transmission capabilities to meet the needs of various
high-density deployment scenarios and different physical environments such as classrooms, offices, stadiums, hotels, and
dormitories. Huawei full series WLAN APs help customers construct highly efficient and reliable wireless networks.
Based on the evolution of WLAN architecture, APs can be classified into controller-based APs (Fit APs) and independent
APs (Fat APs). Using Fat APs is the most efficient way to build small-scale wireless networks with simple deployment and
easy maintenance. Whereas Fit APs are quickly replacing Fat APs in enterprises of different scales and industries as both
WLAN technology and the market develops. The AC + Fit AP architecture is highly scalable and supports centralized
management of multiple Fit APs on a single AC. Software upgrade technologies allow users to seamlessly add and
upgrade APs without incurring additional administrative or equipment expense. Huawei 802.11n APs used indoors or
outdoors can work with an AC and Network Management System (NMS) to monitor network performance in real time. By
employing innovative Auto Radio, High Density Boost, and User Awareness technologies, the APs provide improved radio
performance, high user experience, and flexible networking policies. Based on surrounding environment, the APs can also
implement spectrum analysis, wireless positioning, Beamforming, roaming, Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS)/
Wireless Intrusion Prevention System (WIPS), and wired/wireless network integration.
The new-generation 802.11n APs are tailored for enterprise customers. Huawei provides technology-leading,
performance-enhanced, cost-effective, and small business (SMB) resale APs for enterprises of various types and sizes. To
further protect customers' investment, Huawei 802.11n AP series is compatible with 802.11a/b/g standards and supports
Fat/Fit mode (except AP7110 series and AP6310SN-GN).

services for medium to large enterprises and high-density scenarios.

2 Technology-Leading APs
802.11 technologies changes fast. Huawei's technology-leading APs integrate the latest
technologies, such as 3x3 MIMO and multi-core components to provide an improved wireless
network environment and a better end user experience. They offer highly reliable and secure wireless
services and radio performance, applicable to enterprise offices, airports and stations, digital trains,
and stadiums.
2.1 AP7110SN-GN/AP7110DN-AGN
802.11n 3x3 MIMO AP supports three spatial streams and provides up to 900 Mbit/s total data •
rate on the AP7110DN-AGN and up to 450 Mbit/s on the AP7110SN-GN.
Indoor, industrial-grade AP has a high level of physical protection for use in challenging •
environments.
The AP7110SN-GN complies with 802.3af/at Power over Ethernet (PoE), and the AP7110DN-•
AGN complies with 802.3at PoE, providing easy installation.
The AP7110SN-GN/AP7110DN-AGN uses external antennas. Antenna can be configured and •
deployment locations determined according to networking requirements.
The AP7110SN-GN supports the 2.4 GHz frequency band.•

3 Performance-Enhanced APs
Huawei’s performance-enhanced 802.11n APs use the latest-generation chip that provides
higher performance and improved coverage accuracy, enabling superior support for delay-sensitive
multimedia services and shared data services. The enhanced AP is particularly suitable for simple
building structures with open or semi-open wireless network environments that have high density of
users, and have high capacity demands. Huawei enhanced APs are available as indoor settled APs,
indoor high power APs, and outdoor APs.
3.1 AP6010SN-GN/AP6010DN-AGN
Uses an elegant design and is intended for use in enterprise offices, campus, hospitals, large •
shopping malls, and exhibition centers.
Uses an energy-efficient, new-generation 2x2 MIMO chip.•

Huawei's cost-effective 802.11n APs provide standard wireless network access for small- and medium-
scale enterprises and enterprise branches, and are suitable for low user-density scenarios, such as mobile
offices and guest access. Cost-effective APs help customers to reduce costs and create highly-efficient,
secure, reliable, and mobile office environments.

Huawei SMB resale 802.11n APs with integrated Fit/Fat AP functions are targeted at small- to
medium-sized distribution market in China. The AP has a compact design, applicable to scenarios
that have simple building structure, small area, and a high density of users, for example, small
conference rooms, bars, leisure centers, and express hotels.
Applies to places with densely-distributed small rooms, such as hotels, dormitories, hospitals, and •
offices.
Provides one GE port, two 100M ports, and a pair of phone ports for Ethernet connections, wired •
terminal connections, and phone connections.
Has a compact design, with built-in antenna, hidden indicator, and sliding panel. The AP can be •
installed in an 86 mm junction box which makes the AP well blend into surroundings.
Supports unified management on the AC.•

scheduling, and user CAC technologies, High Density Boost addresses challenges in high-density

User Awareness: This technology helps build a more secure and resilient network and provides •
access policies matching each user or terminal anywhere at any time. The network delivers
policies based on user identities, terminal types, terminal operating system, network use time,
and physical locations, which improves network security and serviceability. In addition, Huawei
ACs provide a built-in Bonjour gateway. Devices running Apple Bonjour can build a network
automatically, without extra settings or an additional Bonjour gateway.
Link Following: Convergence of smart antenna and implicit Beamforming technologies allows •
antennas to detect user locations in real time. As terminals move, the antennas switch directions
accordingly to improve signal strength and reduce interferences. Link Following realizes
millisecond-level switchover and allows Huawei products to deliver ubiquitous network coverage
for customers.
