To succeed in today’s diverseand changing world, studentsneed more than just a solidknowledge of core curriculum.

They also need the ability toproblem solve, apply knowledgeto new situations, be good com-municators, be adaptable, andhave the capacity to work bothindependently and collaboratively.

An education at Children’sMeeting House MontessoriSchool does just that.

CMH Montessori is foundedon the principles of theMontessori method developed byDr. Maria Montessori, whoapproached education from aglobal perspective, consideringthe child’s intellectual, social, physical, and spiritual develop-ment.

The school prides itself onbeing an authentic Montessorischool.

CMH Montessori programs

extend from pre-kindergartenthrough sixth grade. Pre-primaryclassrooms are geared for chil-dren age 3 to 6 and include allday kindergarten.

A teacher-to-student ratio of10:1 ensures that students masterscience, math, reading, writing,Spanish, physical education, andother subjects.

Ninety-two percent of ourteachers hold master degrees andstudents benefit from yoga, pot-tery, and a variety of music pro-grams.

CMH Montessori curriculumis based on self-direction, non-competitive activities that helpchildren develop a strong self-image, high levels of academicand social competence, confi-dence, and optimism.

Thoughtfully prepared class-rooms are divided into curricu-lum areas with hands on materi-als that facilitate student curiosi-

ty, investigation, and independ-ent work.

Adaptable materials encour-age individual development atthe child’s own pace according totheir needs, skills, and interests.Multi-age classrooms stimulatediscussion and collaboration. Inthis child-centered environment, students can explore topics indepth and detail.

Montessori education lendsitself to critical thinking, self-dis-cipline and a level of self-esteemthat allows children to succeed inany academic setting.

Founded in 1973, CMHMontessori grew and expandedinto a new building in 2003 andstudents delight in the warm, inviting classrooms, bathed innatural light.

Situated on six acres withwoods, a pond, flower and veg-etable gardens, and an eco-learn-ing lab, the setting makes CHM

Montessori one the most beauti-ful and unique schools inCincinnati.

The grounds have abundantplant and wildlife species, whichthe children enjoy and studythrough a variety of outdoor pro-grams. In 2008, CHM Montessoriearned the State of Ohio’s desig-nation of “Wild School Site.”

Parents choose CMHMontessori to foster a lifelonglove of learning in their childbased on academic strength, adherence to the Montessorimethod, extra curricular pro-grams, and an emphasis on com-munity and peace.

You’re invited to tour the cam-pus, observe our classrooms, andtalk with teachers. Please call683-4757 or visit www.ChildrensMeetingHouseMontessori.com.CHM Montessori is state accred-ited and affiliated with theAmerican Montessori Society.

All parents desire the verybest education for their childrenand choosing the right school canbe a difficult decision.

This is especiallytrue in Cincinnatiwhere there aremany wonderfuloptions. Some areaschools are com-mitted to strongacademics, whileothers are commit-ted to Christianeducation.

One school,Cincinnati HillsChristian Academy,a non-denominational pre-kindergarten through grade 12,excels at both.

CHCA’s dedication to instill-ing a passion for learning, devel-oping leadership, and serving thecommunity is unparalleled.

Like many private schools,CHCA has much to offer in theway of smaller class sizes andmore individualized attention.

Add to that, new scienceand languageenrichment labsat Edyth B.LindnerElementary, anew perform-ing arts areaand a newScience andAcademic Wingboth at theMartha S.

Lindner High School Campus,116 new computers (including 74new tablet PCs for middle andhigh school teachers), fourDepartment of Education BlueRibbon School of ExcellenceAwards, state-of-the-art facilities

located on 23 wooded acres inSymmes Township, and CHCAmakes for an extremely desirablechoice.

Then consider that all CHCAcourses are taught at the collegepreparatory level – 14 AdvancedPlacement courses are offeredand 100 percent of CHCA gradu-ates go on to top colleges, withthe majority accepted into thecollege of their first choice.

Last year’s 100 graduateswere accepted into 122 collegesand universities and receivedclose to $5 million in scholarshipoffers.

Students are far from beingclassroom-bound, though, com-pleting thousands of hours ofcommunity service in Cincinnati,Florida, Tennessee, and even inMexico and India.

These are impressive academ-ic statistics, but for many parents

and staff, the well-roundednessof the school experience andfocus on the faith centered mis-sion are just as critical.

“Integrating an atmosphere ofunapologetic faith, academicexcellence, promotion of athleticsand appreciation of the arts, while actively leveraging andengaging the expertise of staffand parents to further theschool’s mission are normal partsof life at CHCA,” said Dr. RobHall, middle school principal andCHCA parent.

“Instead of settling for one orthe other in such scenarios,CHCA is successful in findingways to do both. That is whatmakes CHCA such a unique andengaging place to work andlearn. That’s why I not only workhere but send my own childrento school here as well,” he said.
