ANTITRUST ADMONITION

ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust laws. The ERCOT Board has approved guidelines for members of ERCOT Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to be reviewed and followed by each Market Participant attending ERCOT meetings. Day-to-day operations summary: Planned / Unplanned Outages of EDS

• Planned Outages– 03/29/10 06:00 P.M – 03/30/10 06:00 P.M

• Outbound notifications were turned off as a result of operating day tests conducted on the NPROD environment. Affected outage state notification deliveries during this time period.

• Unplanned Outages

– 03/27/10 09:00 A.M. – Ongoing • Outage Scheduler UI experiencing intermittent periods of unavailability and / or degradation in performance• Teams have identified a potential resolution and are working to re-create this in NPROD• Work-arounds have been implemented in the Nodal Production environment and have stabilized the issue until a

permanent fix is identified

– 03/31/10 08:00 A.M – 04/01/10 7:00 A.M • MP were unable to access Outage Scheduler UI as a result of network firewall block.

– 04/01/10 2:15 P.M – 04/01/10 3.15 P.M• Experienced access issues with OSRUI application. Exception occurred as a result of unplanned hardware failover.

OS UI timeout needs a more relevant page display when the OS UI times-out

The OS UI is being directed to a default page that tells them the authorization has failed and to call ERCOT

User will have to log back into the OS. Working on a more user friendly message.

• Updated: In March and April, the following CIM load dates are targeted:– Note that the following dates have been modified from last week– ERCOT will continue bi-weekly updates through the month of April– CIM load scheduled for 3/31/2010 was delay by one day and completed on

4/1/2010– The following are the targeted dates through the next month:

• 4/14/2010• 5/03/2010

• Environment issue’s impact on qualification– Some MPs may have had issues completing qualification activities due to

the environment problems experienced this week– ERCOT will extend the OS qualification deadline by 3 days so that MPs

can complete outstanding qualifications• New deadline is 4/6/2010• Score card will be updated on 4/13/2010• MPs in danger of going red or amber will be notified on 4/5 or 4/6

• 66 / 84 QSEs are qualified (up from 63)

• 17 / 25 TSPs qualified (up from 14)

Environment Report: Changes to Supported Environment Hours

• Outage Scheduler Environment Availability for February - March 2010– The Nodal Production Environment will be available Monday – Friday

from 8am – 6pm– Outside of these hours, ERCOT will be executing performance testing

and patch migrations based on testing results– For those MPs that provided ERCOT test certificates, there will be test

notifications sent to your listeners (where applicable) during these internal ERCOT tests

– ERCOT will coordinate with MPs when submitting to avoid qualification transactions

• Please note that only functionality that pertains to the Outage Scheduler qualification activities has been validated and are supported– Other features (such as reports and other MIS functionality) may be

present in the environment but may have issues– ERCOT is still in the process of validating features to be released in

later Market Trials Phases
