    1.EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

    The Aim of the project:

    The aim of making this project is to learn the practical field, to gain the knowledge

    related to the textile industry which plays a vital role in the economy of Pakistan. It has

    really helped us observe as to what extent the text book knowledge is being practiced in

    real field. Helped in knowing how much the management of human resources is

    important in todays world.

    Discussion:

    We will discuss how HR policies being followed in Din textile mill, how they perform their

    duties efficiently and effectively, to what extent they strictly follow their rules. HR

    practices cover all the key elements which help to fulfill the organization goals in shape

    of providing all the manpower resources, strictly checking about to follow rules and

    regulations and arrange better working atmosphere. We will also discuss brief

    introduction of Din group, their different products, core values, social obligation. A brief

    discussion that how they manages their huge infrastructure, how they make their

    planning whats evaluation criteria, whats their procedure for recruitment & selection,

    how they evaluate their employees performance, their turnover, different methods for

    employee compensation, what health & safety measures are being practiced. In the end

    we will also be discussing what else they should adapt to be more successful.

    2.COMPANY INTRODUCTION

    Din Group was established in 1954 with a small venture in Leather Industry. But today itis a major player in the economy of Pakistan, with exports worth over $70 million per

    annum and annual sales turnover in excess of $100 million. This speaks volumes aboutour standing and strong financial profile.

    Under the dynamic leadership of the Group and strong Human Resource, Din TextileMills Ltd. was founded in 1987 and in a very short time became an icon for the spinningindustry in Pakistan.

    With 3 state-of-the-art spinning units and 1 dyeing unit located at Chunian & Lahore, DinTextile is producing premium quality yarn to meet individual customers needs in thedomestic and international market.

    Din Textile has gained immense trust for delivering superior quality products farexceeding the customers expectations. This is a testimony to Dins unwaveringcommitment to total satisfaction of its customers.

    Furthermore, Din has its own Power Plant to generate electricity for the spinning anddyeing units to ensure the consistent yarn quality.

    Whenever there is a misfortune or a critical situation in the country Din has provided itsfull support at such times. On the occasion of most destructive earthquake in 2005 inAzad Kashmir and in Khyber Pakhtunkhaw near the city of Muzaffarabad, Din hascontributed intensively for food and health facilities for the victims.
