SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources
and Operations Team. This individual welcomes and interacts with employees at all levels of the
organization, to build and maintain effective working relationships. Maintain a high level of
professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues, while supporting multiple
departments. Works with the HR Manager to help create HR initiatives that are in line with
corporate objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works directly with the HR Manager to assist with recruiting duties; such as scheduling
phone and on-sight interviews, participating as an HR interview screener, providing position
updates to Recruiter contacts, tracking candidate flow, post job requisitions on career
posting websites
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company
goals
Responsible for maintaining the benefit carrier’s websites with up to date employee
information (i.e. terminating employee benefits, qualifying events, updating dependent
information, address changes and any benefit maintenance that is required)
Reviewing and approving all benefit invoices
Assist HR Manager with Annual Benefit Open Enrollment
Acts as a resource to employees to help address Human Resource questions
Responsible for Data Entry of New Hires & HR changes into ADP
Back-up to payroll processing, in the event the Sr. Accountant is not able to process our
weekly or semi-monthly payroll
Responsible for tracking employee’s vacation and sick hours and auditing, as necessary for
accuracy
Assists with updating and maintaining the HR policies and procedures located on the
Accusoft Procedure and Policy website

Ensures compliance with federal and state laws regarding Human Resource activities
Complete employment verification requests, as needed
Generate monthly HR Reports to Management team and assist with the generation of other
standard reports for Human Resources or managing personnel, as needed
Assist HR Manager with the creation of governmental reports, such as annual EEO1
Reporting, VET Reporting, and Affirmative Action Program Reporting
Assists HR Department with events such as birthday bashes and anniversary lunches
Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing and
mailing for HR Department
Assist in various special projects and needs as determined by the Human Resources
Manager

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree; Two plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
of education and experience.

Must have a professional, outgoing, guest-service oriented manner.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and
decimals.
