PPUSP Migration from HP Passport to HP ID

1 IntroductionPPUSP application is migrated from HP Passport to HP ID for Authentication. This document describes the changes in PPSUP Portal’s User Interface flow change after Migration from HP Passport to HP ID. This document highlights only those areas that have been impacted by the change.

2 Changes in Login Flow

Please click on the Login button or Login menu. User will be re directed to HP ID portal.


Enter User name or email id OR Use existing HP Passport username. Enter password OR Use existing HP Passport user password


Possible issue with HP ID Login and WorkaroundFor HPP legacy users (existing HPP accounts migrated to HP ID):

If user’s username and email are the same there will be no issue. If user’s username and email are different, then user will have trouble while

login to HPID with email. User needs to use username to login HPID. User can use HP ID forgot

username flow to recover username.


After successful authentication, user will be redirected to Home page

3 New User Registration ProcessThere are two ways a user can request access to Service Portal using HPID.

1. Users requesting access for themselves 2. Customer Admins requesting access for someone else

Select “New User Registration” and then “No HP Account? Let’s Change That”

Login, select “User Account Management”, then “Create User”.

Enter details per screenshot below and select “sign-up

User Request

User will click on “User Change Request” link and complete the New user registration – continued. This is where the user will identify their preferred role and the account they want access for. (see next 2 screenshots)


Once the user submits their preferences, an email will be sent to the Customer Administer for approval. The Customer Admin will follow standard steps for approving the users access.

Customer Administrator Request

Once the request to add a user in HP ID, the Customer Admin will follow normal processes for configuring the account and user’s role.After granting the roles and permissions an email can be triggered to user by clicking on send notification email button.


4 Changes in Forgot password / user id Screens

1. Click on Forgot your username or password?

2. Select username or password accordingly.3. For forgot username, enter email address and Click next 4. For forgot password, enter username and Click next


i. For forgot username, the HP account system sends an email message with a list of the usernames associated to the email address

ii. For password reset, enter verification code and new password as below


5 Changes in Edit Profile Screens

Click on “Change HP ID contact information: click here” to change user id, password and user details


iii. Change Password and Change User ID , Can be Changed by HPID

iv. Click on Change Password or Change User ID
