Certification Data Sheet HP ExpertONE Certification: HP ASE – StorageWorks Integration [2011] – Upgrade from ASE – HP StorageWorks [2008] Availability: 01 April 2011 Updated: 27 May 2011 Overview: The ASE level of storage certification is for those high-level presales and integration experts who have at least one year experience working with storage technologies. This certification covers the entire HP storage portfolio, including the EVA, X9000, P4000 and P4800, P6000, P9000, HP StoreOnce D2D systems, and HP 3PAR servers and software. This certification builds enterprise-level knowledge upon the core competencies gained at the AIS certification level by adding design and deployment skills on enterprise Storage Area Networks (SANs). The ASE candidate learns how to design, implement, and troubleshoot backup solutions and SANs. In addition, the ASE learns the benefits of each storage solution, and how to install, configure and manage the products using standards and technologies such as heterogeneous Open SAN architecture, advanced Fibre Channel Switched Fabric topologies, SAN management, and SAN appliances. Note that the person who attains this certification via the upgrade path is also awarded the HP AIS – StorageWorks Integration [2011] certification. Superseded Certification and Upgrade Path: HP ASE – StorageWorks Integration [2011] supersedes ASE – HP StorageWorks [2008], which cannot be attained after 1 September 2011. The above requirements are the abbreviated upgrade path that requires ASE – HP StorageWorks [2008] as the prerequisite and 2 core requirement exams.
