CK2/CK2A CLOSE CORPORATION AMENDMENT ONLINE GUIDE

Step 1: Log onto the CIPC website at www.cipc.co.za

Step 2: Register as Customer

If not an existing customer, click on Customer Registration to register and complete the required fields and submit.

Step 3: Deposits/Banking Details

Before filing your documents you must ensure that you have enough funds available for the required transactions.

Deposits may either be made at the CIPC walk-in centre in Pretoria, bank deposit or EFT payment.

The reference number on the deposit slip will assist CIPC to allocate the deposit accurately and on time to your virtual account. Allow 2 to 3 working days (depending on your deposit type) for your funds to be cleared in your virtual account at CIPC. If not allocated within three days, fax proof of payment to +27 86 673 8313. Once the deposit is reflecting within your account, you may continue to file your applications. You may confirm whether

your deposit is reflecting by logging on to the CIPC website, Additional Services, Customer Login (using your

customer code and password), Customers, Customer Transactions, Selecting the date period, and Show Statement.

Step 4: Access CK2/CK2A application

If already registered as a Customer, click on Additional Services.

Login as Customer. Type in Customer Code (User name) and Password selected at Customer Registration, and

type the required security code as shown. Click on Log In.

Select Close Corporations, Amend details of Close Corporation under Start Here menu on the left.

A message will be displayed, reminding the customer that certified copies of ID documents of active and resigning

members must be attached, as well as the ID of the customer who lodges on behalf of the CLOSE CORPORATION.

Click on OK.

Step 5: File CK2/CK2A information

Fill in the required fields Enterprise name and Enterprise number (without any back or forward slashes) and click on

Submit, as well as the Security Code as shown, and click on New Amendment.

Complete the Company Amendment details.

The information of the members (the CK2/CK2A) detail will appear on the screen.

Complete the fields and the required changes in the fields displayed. If changes to the name of the CLOSE

CORPORATION have been made, a CoR 9.1 needs to be completed before the CK2 can be submitted. For changes

regarding the name of the CLOSE CORPORATION, the principal business and the financial year, R30 will be deducted

from the customer’s virtual account. Any other change as per the CK2/CK2A form is free of charge.

An message will appear if there is any validation errors, indicating all the validation errors. Click on OK.

Complete the required fields.

To indicate the resignation of a member, double click on the member.

Complete the required fields. After completing the fields, click on Accept changes and minimize.

To add an accounting officer, click on the Accounting Officer button, and complete the required fields. The same applies

for Adding natural members, Testamentary trusts, Inter vivo Trusts or Executor.

Once all the required fields are completed, click on Save, and Submit Amendment.

A tracking number will appear on the screen. Write the tracking number down for future reference and enquiries.

Click on Open in order to open and print the application, or click on Save to save the application. Print the application.

Step 6: Processing CK2/CK2A

The request for close corporation amendments will not be affected until a hard copy of the CK2/CK2A, signed by all the

members and resigning members of the CLOSE CORPORATION, as well as all the supporting documents are received

by CIPC.

The documents can either be posted to CIPC, or it can be hand delivered to CIPC (at the lodgment desk) or it can be

handed in at the Provincial Partners (See www.cipc.co.za/Partners/Partner Contact Details) for a list of all the Partners in

the provinces.)

Once the documents are received by CIPC, it will be referred to the CK2 processing unit for processing. Once the

CK2/CK2A has been completed, a certificate will be sent to the customer via the delivery method chosen by the

customer (e.g. post or to collect).
