Why was it so successful? There are three main reasons why Starbucks was and still is so successful.

1. It’s a environment friendly to everyone. Starbucks has high quality coffee and even for the kids they have plenty of caffeine free beverages.

2. The surroundings are great. Customers should already know what they’re walking into. The environment should be “comfortable.” There’s a warm, green color scheme with calm alternative music, basic/natural artwork, and employees with matching green uniforms.

3. It’s always appropriate and useful. They want to satisfy you and your taste buds. Also, the employees are brisk and keep the lines moving with quality work.

Characteristics that helped them to become successful…

One thing he took in consideration is doing something he liked. Before even being officially a part of Starbucks he had his own coffee shop, so obviously he had an interest in coffee.

He was also “strong-willed.” He was willing to work hard. He just didn’t ever take no for an answer.

He never gave up, even after his first coffee shop, he continued to start with a whole new beginning.
