What is F.O.G.?

Friends of Gingerbread Preschool (F.O.G.) is a non-profit parent organization that supports the City of Pleasanton’s Gingerbread Preschool.

Funds raised by F.O.G. go towards improvements of our preschool facility, staff development, and classroom items that aim to enhance our school’s play-based curriculum. Funds are also used to host events to bring our Gingerbread community together.

F.O.G. has an Executive Board, which, through it’s members, City Liaison, and committees, supports social events and fundraising activities to benefit the school.

What does F.O.G. do?• sponsors Gingerbread events such as: Lunch & Play, Family Socials, Fun Run.

• organizes staff appreciation luncheons and teacher appreciation week.

• sends teachers annually to a conference for staff development.

• participates in the town Holiday Parade.

• some of the past F.O.G. purchases: picnic benches, tree bench, playhouse, bikes and helmets for the kids, lobby monitor, playground structure.

All Gingerbread parents/guardians are welcome to join our monthly meetings where we discuss fundraising and event planning. Free childcare on-site is provided.

Join us each month at a different restaurant! A percentage of money spent on your meal will go back to our school.

All Gingerbread families are welcome to bring a nut-free lunch and join us at the Gingerbread play yard. Please park at the Aquatic Center.
