HOW WOMEN AREVIEWED BY SOCIETY
A powerpoint by Marissa Pendland
Women, your body is a battlefield!
Day by day, the media objectifies women.
But how, you may ask?
1. Overly Sexualizing them!
The Media tends to make standards of beauty very high, making it impossible to reach,
due to photoshopping!
Some how they want you to be curvy and skinny, with no errors?
Leaving girls who don’t fit to the standards disgusted by themselves.
2. Children are taught at a young age, being beautiful is the only important thing.
Rendering young ladies to always want to be like the people in the television and
magazines…
3. Dreams are thrown to the side.
Just because we are taught jobs have a set gender.
That if a woman actually enjoys something only boys are supposed to like, then they are
“fake” and “doing it for attention.”
For women who actually achieve what they want in life, they are accused of “being selfish”
Wow, I wonder who she

She must be
a secretary for the
boss. While she could be the co-owner of the company, she is still looked down on, like
she hasn’t earned it.

4. Women are assaulted on a daily basis.
By men who think they are something they can touch
and play with.
Assaulted by men who think…
Well she was
asking for it…
5. For every dollar a women earns…
A man make 77 cents more.
How is it fair that men are given more?
In the land of the equal, why aren’t women as equal as men?
It’s because women are looked down upon.
Women are not “people”…
They are objects to society.
It needs to STOP!
Thanks for watching!
