Field Facts and Information
Brimfield Elementary is on the move! There are many en-
hancements helping students and staff alike. Brimfield is
adding a greater implementation of Positive Behavior Inter-
ventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS takes the focus off of
punishment. Student behavior is proactively geared toward
positive outcomes. The work so far has been excel-
lent. Brimfield has also incorporated Guided Reading into all
of the Language Arts classrooms. This program allows for
more individual attention for students. It allows for students
to grow in reading at an individual level and pushes everyone
toward reading independently.
For teachers, Brimfield has incorporated Professional Learn-
ing Communities for all grade levels and departments. These
allow for teachers to work together to improve instructional
techniques and practices.
In June, Brimfield Elementary was named a 2018 Hall of
Fame School by the Ohio Association of Elementary School
Administrators. This award is given to schools that promote
a positive learning environment for all students. Brimfield
continues to build on this achievement and promote success
for all students!
Brimfield PTA
You can join the PTA for $6! Please send in your membership
form, or go to our website to join. www.brimfieldpta.org. Our
first meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept 18 at 6pm in the library.
