The Situation (I)The team at Tristar Medical Group, Australia’s largest privately owned health services provider, required an IT infrastructure which could be accessed at all hours by their medical center teams. Following a move to AWS, the OpEx costs of running EC2 instances quickly became a substantial and growing expense for the organization.

The Situation (II)


Using a combination of ParkMyCloud and geographical clusters, Tristar optimized use of their EC2 instances across the organization. Those instances (and applications) which needed to be running to support their larger medical practices were always available when required, but those which did not could be parked during weekends and non-peak times. This saves the organization $20k/month, or about $240k/year.
