icrosoft SQL Server suorts two authentication !odes9

Windows authentication !ode "Windows authentication' 0 allows users to connect via

Windows N6 account. When the users tr1 to connect via Windows authentication

"6rusted connection', SQL Server will do a call(ack to the Windows oerating s1ste!

to validate the account (efore it allows or denies connection.

ied !ode "Windows authentication and SQL Server authentication' 0 users can use

either Windows authentication or SQL Server authentication. When users tr1 to

connect via nontrusted connection "SQL Server authentication', SQL Server will check

its internal data(ase to validate the login and assword.

Note:Windows authentication is not used when SQL Server is installed on Win.

+on a successful connection to SQL Server, QALite will resent the user with a quer1

window. 6his is where the user can enter an1 6ransact0SQL state!ents of his or her choice

and eecute it against the connected server. ore infor!ation on 6ransact0SQL can (e found

QALite suorts various oututs, such as to grid, tet, flat or !l file, for an1 given quer1. As

shown (elow, the user can either select the otion fro! the Quer1 !enu or through various
